What is happening?

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL

(C5042 GRANGE FELL ROAD AND BEECH ROAD, GRANGE OVER SANDS)

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road:

1. C5042 Grange Fell Road, Grange over Sands from its junction with the B5277, extending in a south westerly direction for a distance of approx 1.6km.

Alternative Route: via the B5277 Allithwaite Road, C5040 Cartmel Road, C5042 Haggs Lane and the unrestricted section of Grange Fell Road.

Duration: From 6th November 2024 for approx. 1 week (Ref: TTROW/11734)

2.Beech Road, Grange over Sands from its junction with Grange Fell Road, extending in a northerly direction for a distance of approx. 50m.

There is no suitable diversion route available for vehicles.

The Order will come into operation on 6th November 2024 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
