Notice of Confirmation of a Public Path Diversion Order Town and County Planning Act 1990 Section 257

Bridleway No. 35.59/13 Land at Lumby, Parish of South Milford, Diversion Order 2024

On 15 October 2024 North Yorkshire Council confirmed the above Order (without any modifications) as an Unopposed Order.

The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the 371m section of bridleway to the southern and eastern boundaries of the field to the west of the A1(M) Junction 42 northbound on-slip, from a north easterly alignment from Grid Reference 44717, 42988 to Grid Reference 44721, 43019 to an alignment between the same points running for 563m alongside the western then northern boundaries of the same field. The full extent of the bridleway will have a crushed stone surface and will be 4m wide.

A copy of the confirmed Order and Order Plan may be seen free of charge at North Yorkshire Council (Selby Area), Civic Centre, Doncaster Road, Selby, YO8 9FT between the hours of 9am and 4.30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and between the hours of 9.30am and 4.30pm on Wednesday. Alternatively, a copy of the Order and the Order Plan may be viewed on the Council’s website at: https://public.selby.gov.uk/online-applications/ (reference number 2020/0045/PROW). Copies of the Order and Order Plan may be purchased at a reasonable cost.

This Order comes into force on the date on which North Yorkshire Council certify that the terms of Article 2 of the Order have been complied with, but if any person aggrieved by the Order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act pr any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the Order, he or she may apply to the High court for any of these purposes under section 278 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within 6 weeks from the date on which notice is first published as required by paragraph [7] [8] of Schedule 14 to that Act.
