What is happening?

WARRINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that, in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, the Council intends to make Orders under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Cyril St (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2024

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Cyril St from its jct. with Forster St to its jct. with Cyril St Passageway Gable of 2. The Order will be effective from 11th November 2024 for 4 weeks. The alternative route will be signed on site. The closure is required to allow Scottish Power to carry out mains renewal & service transfer works. Ref: 11728152

Public Footpath No. 21 Appleton (Footpath Closure) Temporary Order 2024

The effect of which will be to introduce a footpath closure on Public Footpath No. 21 Appleton from its jct. with Longwood Rd to the connecting footpath at the rear of Birchways. The Order will be effective from 18th November 2024 for 5 days. The alternative route will be via Old Pewterspear Ln, northwards following the path onto Teddington Cl, then along Teddington Cl, Petersham Dr & Dudlow Green Rd to Public Footpath No. 21 near Limeways, then southwards along this footpath to rejoin Old Pewterspear Ln. The closure is required to allow for Bitmac footpath improvements to the existing stone path. Ref: 12015668

Hardy St & Norman St (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2024

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving as follows: Hardy St from its jct. with Norman St to its jct. with Lythgoes Ln; Norman St from its jct. with Hardy St to its jct. with Orford Ln. The Order will be effective from 20th November 2024 for 1 week, with the works being carried out in phases so only one closure is in place at any one time. The alternative routes will be signed on site. The closures are required to allow T-Mobile to replace Telecom Antenna. Ref: 11731252

Mercer St Passageway Rear of 1 to 93, Burtonwood (Prohibition of Driving)

Temporary Order 2024

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Mercer St Passageway Rear of 1 to 93 from its jct. with Clay Ln to its jct. with Fairclough St Passageway gable of 17. The Order will be effective from 11th November 2024 for 1 week. The closure is required to allow United Utilities to carry out sewer repair work. Ref: 11728552

Payne Cl, Sankey (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2024

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Payne Cl from outside number 45 to the end of the cul-de-sac. The Order will be effective from 18th November 2024 for 2 weeks, between 9:30am & 3:30pm. The closure is required to allow Openreach to install ducting. Ref: 11730352

Weaste Ln (Phase B) (Prohibition of Driving, Clearway & Footway Closure)

Temporary Order 2024

The effect of which will be to introduce a Prohibition of Driving, Clearway & Footway Closure on Weaste Ln from its jct. with Cliff Ln to it jct. with Halfacre Ln. The Order will be effective from 18th November 2024 until 18th April 2025. The alternative route will be via Massey Brook Ln, A56 Camsley Ln/Stockport Rd, Knutsford Rd, Cliff Ln & vice versa. The restrictions are required for the installation of a new drainage system. Ref: 11729652

Whittle Ave/Burtonwood Rd/Westbrook Way/Fortress Blvd

(Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2024

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving as follows: Whittle Ave from its roundabout with Lingley Green Ave in a north-easterly direction to its roundabout with Burtonwood Rd/Fortress Blvd/Westbrook Way, including the circulatory carriageway; Burtonwood Rd from its jct. with Charon Way to approx. 20m south of its roundabout with Westbrook Way/Whittle Ave/Fortress Blvd, including the circulatory carriageway; Westbrook Way from its roundabout with Westbrook Cres to its roundabout with Whittle Ave/Burtonwood Rd/Fortress Blvd; Fortress Blvd from its roundabout with Whittle Ave/ Burtonwood Rd/Westbrook Way to the entrance to Lidl Supermarket. The Order will be effective on 25th November 2024 for 2 weeks, between 7pm & 7:30am. Access for residents to Borsodi Blvd & Kingswood Rd will be maintained & under the control of the relevant Contractor during the times stated, access to Westbrook Way/Burtonwood Rd will remain for residents south of the roundabout via temporary traffic signals. The alternative routes will be as follows: Whittle Ave via Lingley Green Ave, Omega Blvd, Skyline Dr, Burtonwood Rd & vice versa; Burtonwood Rd via Skyline Dr, Omega Blvd, Lingley Green Ave & vice versa; Westbrook Way via Cromwell Ave, Sankey Way, Whittle Ave or via Europa Blvd & Charon Way; Fortress Blvd via Borsodi Blvd, Burtonwood Rd or via Borsodi Blvd, Alfa Way & Stanhoe Dr. The closures are required to carry out resurfacing in advance of two new Toucan Crossings on Burtonwood Rd & Whittle Ave. Ref: 11278185

Rushgreen Rd, Dane Bank Rd East & Dane Bank Rd, Lymm

(Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Council made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving as follows: Rushgreen Rd from its jct. with Woodyatt Way to its jct. with Dane Bank Rd East; Dane Bank Rd East from its jct. with Rushgreen Rd to its jct. with Dane Bank Rd; Dane Bank Rd from its jct. with Dane Bank Rd East to its jct. with Whitbarrow Rd. The Order will be effective from 4th November 2024 for 7 weeks, with the works being carried out in phases. The alternative routes will be: Rushgreen Rd via A6144 including Birchbrook Rd, Mill Ln, Bent Ln, Paddock Ln, Warburton Ln, Manchester New Rd, Manchester Rd & Harboro Rd & via the A56 including Manchester Rd, Church St, Dunham Rd, Higher Ln, Church Rd & vice versa; Dane Bank Rd East/Dane Bank Rd via Brookfield Rd, Eagle Brow, The Cross, New Rd & vice versa. The closures are required to allow Energetics to install a high voltage supply to the new Bellway Homes site. Ref: 11727752

Notice is hereby given that the Council made Orders under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on 16th May 2024 & 20th June 2024. The effect of which are as follows: Prohibition of Driving & Clearway: Pepper St from its jct. with Rectory Ln to its jct. with The Peppers; Longbutt Ln from its jct. with Orchard Ave to its jct. with Scholars Green Ln (East); Grove Rise from its jct. with Pepper St for 20m; Domville Cl from its jct. with Pepper St for 20m; Clearway: Pepper St from its jct. with Orchard Ave for 10m in both directions & both sides of the road; Orchard Ave from its jct. with Pepper St for 10m both sides; Orchard Ave (westside of road) from its jct. with Longbutt Ln for 30m; Orchard Ave (eastside of road) from its jct. with Longbutt Ln for 20m; Rose Bank Turning Head at western end adj. to Nos. 1 & 2; Scholars Green Ln from its jct. with Limefield Ave to its jct. with Longbutt Ln; Temporary Suspension of The Borough of Warrington (Longbutt Ln, Lymm) (Prohibition of Driving) Order 1982 in its entirety. The Orders were effective from 17th June 2024 for 20 weeks & 24th June 2024 for 19 weeks, however due to delays on site the works are not complete therefore the restrictions are now required to remain in place for a further 5 weeks. The phases of works, alternative route & reason for the works remains the same as previously advertised. Ref: 120808

The temporary restrictions will be in place as & when the signs are in place on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
