FOOTPATH 96B BLACKBURN & FOOTPATH 169 BLACKBURN (PART)

TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that the Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council proposes to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any persons from using the footpaths referred to in the schedule below to facilitate footpath improvement works through the Arran Trail.

The Order becomes effective on 31st October 2024 for a period of six months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.

Footpath 96B Blackburn from School Lane point A (SD 70963 25975) in a Northerly direction for approximately 1.03km to the borough boundary at Point C (SD 71073 26930). This is shown as a solid bold line.

Footpath 169 Blackburn (Part)

Part of Footpath 169 Blackburn between its junction with footpath 96B Blackburn at point B (SD 71050 26402) in a generally Westerly direction for approximately 92m to point D (SD 70973 26360). This is shown as a solid bold line.


There are no alternative routes in place during the closure of these footpaths.
