What is happening?

MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER_ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)

Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC140750379: The City of Manchester (Copson Street, Old Moat Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Copson Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Wilmslow Road, Burton Road, Patten Street and vice versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate road closure for core testing. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 5th November 2024 to the 6th November 2024. The order shall come into operation on the 5th November 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
