Wighay Road - Temporary Prohibition of Driving For Removal And Installation Works
What is happening?
The Nottinghamshire County Council
(Wighay Road, Hucknall) (Temporary Prohibition Of Driving) Order 2024 (A24-118)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Hucknall in the District of Ashfield. The effects of the Order will be :
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road.
a. Wighay Road, Hucknall - From its junction with Annesley Road, to its junction with Knightsbridge Gardens.
2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading (Both Sides) (At Any Time) in the following length of road.
a. Wighay Road, Hucknall - From its junction with Annesley Road, to its junction with Knightsbridge Gardens.
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 07:00 Hours, Monday 4th November 2024 Until 06:00 Hours, Wednesday 18th December 2024, Inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be :
a. B6011 Wighay Road,
Hucknall - B6011 Wighay
Road, Linby - Waterloo
Road, Linby - Waterloo
Road, Hucknall - Church
Lane, Hucknall - Linby
Road - Station Road -
Torkard Way - Annesley
Road and Vice Versa.
The Order will come into force on Monday 4th November 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry out Removal and Installation Works.
