What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF WALTHAM FOREST

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14(1) THE WALTHAM FOREST (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) (LEYTON STATION IMPROVEMENT WORKS) (E11 ROADS) (NO. 1) ORDER 2024

The Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that it intends on making an Order to facilitate the improvement works of Leyton Station located on High Road Leyton E10.

The general effect of the Order would be only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed to prohibit vehicles from entering, proceeding, waiting or loading for any purpose, at anytime, in:

i. Goodall Road E11 - between its junctions with Webster Road and Elmore Road;

ii. Elmore Road E11 - between its junction with Goodall Road and the common boundary of Nos. 12/13.

Whilst the restrictions referred to in paragraph 2 above remain in force and only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed, waiting or loading by vehicles would be prohibited in:

i. Langthome Road E11 - both sides of the section between Frith Road and Elmore Road:

(a) the easternmost parking bays;

(b) between its junction with Elmore Road and the common boundary of Nos. 210/212.

ii. Elmore Road E11 - section north of Langthorne Road:

(a) east-side: the entire length of the said section;

(b) west-side: outside Nos. 1 to 3 and Nos. 4 to 6.

Whilst the road closures mentioned in paragraph 2 are in force (only in a manner such that only a partial section of either road is closed a manner such that only a partial section of either road is closed to vehicles) the one-way working in Goodall Road E11 and in Elmore Road E11 would be suspended.

The Order would come into force on 21st November 2024 and would remain in operation until the works associated with the improvement of Leyton Station are completed.

The road closures and waiting and loading prohibitions mentioned in this notice would only apply at such times and to such extent as this notice would only apply at such times and to such extent as would be indicated by the placing or covering of the appropriate traffic signs. THE WALTHAM FOREST (CADENT GAS CONNECTION) (SELBORNE AVENUE E17) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITIONS) (NO. 1) ORDER 2024

The Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that it intends on making an Order to allow for the replacement and connection of services by Cadent Gas to be earned out in a safe and efficient manner. The general effect of the Order would be, only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed, to prohibit vehicles from entering, proceeding, waiting or loading for any purpose, at any time, in Selbome Avenue E17 - the entire length. Whilst the prohibitions referred to in paragraph 2 of this notice remains in force, advance warning signage and alternative routes for traffic shall be in place.

The Order would come into operation on 11th November 2024 and would be valid for a maximum period of 3 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner. NOTE: The works are expected to be completed within 7 days, but additional time is required for contingencies. (Ref: TT67(24))

Vehicles wailing or loading in alsregard of the aforementioned Orders would be removed.

The prohibitions mentioned in all notices above would not apply in relation to any vehicle being used: (a) in connection with the said works; or fb) for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes (if the works allow).

Any designated controlled parking spaces situated in the roads or parts of roads affected by any of the measures set out in the notices above will be suspended. Signage will be placed in advance of any works in the roads mentioned in the aforementioned notices which would give more specific details on the exact dates of the prohibitions, eflectsofany temporary iaffic management and diversion routes as necessary.
