(Stopham: Bedham Lane, Amen Lane & Stopham Lane)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close:-

(i)  Bedham Lane between Stretch Hill and Amen Lane; and then

(ii) Amen Lane between Stretch Hill and Bedham Lane; and then

(iii)Stopham Lane opposite Coronation Cottages

The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst gas mains replacement works are undertaken.

The Order will come into effect on 4 November 2024 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated the works will commence on or after 4 November 2024 on Bedham Lane, then continue on Amen Lane and then continue on Stopham Lane to be completed by 9 December 2024.

(Lavant: Old Wick Lane) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close Old Wick Lane between Hunters Race and Lavant Road. The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst telecommunications ducting works are undertaken.

The Order will come into effect on 4 November 2024 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated works will commence on 4 November 2024 and will take 3 weeks to complete.

(Westhampnett, Lavant & Boxgrove: New Road)

(Temporary 40mph Speed Limit) Order 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding at a speed exceeding 40mph on New Road between Stane Street and Stocks Lane. The restriction is necessary to protect public safety due to poor road condition.

The Order will come into effect on 5 November 2024 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected this restriction will remain in place until April 2025.

(Funtington: Scant Road East)

(Temporary Daytime Closure) Order 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Scant Road East. The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst electric cabling works are undertaken.

The Order will come into effect on 18 November 2024 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated the works will commence on 18 November 2024 daily between 0800 and 1700 hours and will take 2 weeks to complete.

(North Mundham – Runcton: Brookside)

(Temporary Closure No. 2) Order 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close Brookside between Brookside Close and Lagness Road. The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst water works are undertaken.

The Order came into effect on 18 November 2024 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated works will commence on 18 November 2024 and will take 2 weeks to complete.

(Bognor Regis: Public Footpath 3038)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Public Footpath 3038 in Bognor Regis from its junction with Ivy Lane to its junction with Highcroft Avenue. The road closure is needed to allow the railway footbridge on the route to be replaced in safety.

The Order will come into effect on 15 November 2024 and remain in force for 6 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes are available via adjoining roads.

 (Bognor Regis: Belmont Street) (Temporary Prohibition of  Waiting) Order 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit waiting at any time on both sides of Belmont Street in Bognor Regis, from the western kerbline of York Road westwards to a point opposite the exit road from to the Regis Centre car park.

This restriction is needed to allow safe access for construction vehicles accessing the Alexandra Theatre development site. The Order will come into effect on 18 November 2024 and remain in force for 18 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier.
