Reading - Multiple Temporary Road Closures and Restrictions due to Works

What is happening?

READING BOROUGH COUNCIL

(NORTHUMBERLAND AVENUE)

(TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2024

Reading Borough Council intends to make an Order in accordance with section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to temporarily suspend parking and impose a no waiting and/or loading at any time restriction outside numbers 228-234 Northumberland Avenue. If made, the Order will come into force from 18-20 November 2024. Should the works take longer than expected the restrictions will remain in force until the works are completed with a maximum order duration of 18 months. The Order is necessary to allow lay ducting.

(NORCOT ROAD AND ARMOUR ROAD)

(TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2024

Reading Borough Council intends to make an Order in accordance with section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to temporarily suspend the parking bays and impose a no waiting/loading at any time restriction along each of the following lengths of road: Norcot Road - from the side of number 1 School Road to outside number 20 Norcot Road; and Armour Road - opposite number 3 to 7. If made, the Order wil come into force from 18-20 November 2024 between 09:30-15:30 hours each day. Should the works take longer than expected the restrictions will remain in force until the works are completed with a maximum order duration of 18 months. The Order is necessary to facilitate ducting works.

(THORN LANE)

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

Reading Borough Council intends to make an Order in accordance with section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to temporarily close the entire length of Thorn Lane. If made, the Order will come into force from 13-14 November 2024. Should the works take longer than expected the closure will remain in force until the works are completed with a maximum order duration of 18 months. The Order is necessary to allow service pipe relay works. A signed diversion route will be in place.

(PROSPECT STREET)

(TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2024

Reading Borough Council intends to make an Order in accordance with section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to temporarily suspend the parking and impose a no waiting/loading at any time restriction along each of the following lengths of road: Numbers 1-9 & 23-34 Branksome Court (on Prospect Street); and Number 21-23 Prospect Street. If made, the Order will come into force from 19-21 November 2024. Should the works take longer than expected the restrictions will remain in force until the works are completed with a maximum order duration of 18 months. The Order is necessary to enable valve repack works.
