Dalton Road Bridge, Temporary Traffic Restrictions Due To Vegetation Works
What is happening?
WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (A595 DALTON ROAD BRIDGE, ASKAM IN FURNESS) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable retaining wall and vegetation removal works to be carried out ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the A595 Dalton Road Bridge, Askam in Furness for a distance of 25m either side of the centre line of the bridge.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the A5092, A590 and the unrestricted sections of the A595.

The Order will come into operation on 3rd November 2024 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 1 day, during the hours of 0800 and 1600 and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
