What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) C285 (Part), Idmiston; from its junction with High Street to its junction with Winterslow Road to enable Openreach to carry out cabling works. Alternative route via Winterslow Road - A338 - C285 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 27 November 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 3 days. For further information please contact Openreach. B) C276 (Part), Fovant; from its junction with Sutton Road for a distance of approximately 250m in a westerly direction to enable Going Group Ltd to carry out new foul connection and associated works. Alternative route via C276 (unaffected length) - Panters Road - Sutton Hill - C317 - A30 - C64 - C276 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 25 November 2024 and the closure will be required 24 hours a day once in place for weekdays only until 06 December 2024. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: D) C287 (Part), Laverstock and Ford; from its junction with A338 to its junction with Ford Lane to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to carry out tree cutting and associated works. Alternative route via C287 (unaffected length) - A345 - C56 - A338 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 07 November 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. E) C12 (Part), Stratford Toney and Coombe Bissett; from its junction with C320 to its property known as Coombe Farm Cottages to enable Openreach to carry out pole test and associated works. Alternative route via C12 (unaffected length) - A354 - A3094 - C320 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 07 November 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily, to all vehicles, the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this notice. The order is required to enable carriageway patching, surface dressing and associated maintenance works and will be operative from the 04 November 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. The closures are anticipated to be for up to 5 days but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works. It is anticipated that advance signs will be deployed 2 weeks prior to the closure dates. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The closures are anticipated to take place between 04 November 2024 and 03 January 2025.

(OFF STREET PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2022

(AMENDMENT NO.2) ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 the effect of which will be to amend The County of Wiltshire (Southern Wiltshire) (Off Street Parking Places) Order 2022 by removing Central Car Park Approach (Land alongside dual carriageway leading into Central Car Park), Salisbury and Millstream Car Park, Salisbury from the Order and to introduce the following car parks: Public Service Vehicles and Coaches Pay and Display Parking Places Central Coach Car Park, Salisbury - for coaches and service vehicles only, operating all days and all hours, charging with the following tariffs: Monday to Saturday 8am-6pm (including Bank Holidays) up to: 1hr - £1.80, 2hrs - £2.70, 3hrs - £5.30, All day - £10.80 and Sunday 10am - 4pm £2.90 single charge per visit. Service vehicles are any vehicle being used in the maintenance of any part of the Central Coach Park Parking Area. Service vehicles are exempted from any charges; Central Coach Drop Off, Salisbury - for coaches and service vehicles only, operating all days and all hours, free of charge with a maximum stay of 20 minutes No return within 1 hour. Service vehicles are any vehicle being used in the maintenance of any part of the Central Coach Drop Off Parking Area. Service vehicles are exempted from the maximum period of waiting applied to coaches. Deposit copies of the Order, plans and Statement of the Council's Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Details of the proposed scheme may be seen at Salisbury Library, Market Walk SP1 1BL during the hours of 10am to 7pm Monday, 9am to 7pm Tuesday and Friday and 9am to 5pm Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday until 25 Nobember 2024. HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 - SECTION 116 APPLICATION

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council intends to make application to the Magistrates' Court sitting at Wilton Road, Salisbury on 5 December 2024 from 10am for an Order stopping-up (i.e. extinguishing) a section of highway adjacent to The Ship Inn, Burcombe Lane, Burcombe on the ground that it is unnecessary for public use or any other highway-related reason.

A copy of this notice and an application plan may be obtained from - and any queries directed to-Mr. Gale of Legal Services on tel. no. (01225) 718023. Alternatively, the plan may be inspected free of charge by prior arrangement with Mr. Gale at County Hall, Trowbridge, during normal office hours.
