What is happening?
LONDON BOROUGH OF BRENT
THE BRENT AND CAMDEN (SPEED LIMITS) (NO. 4) TRAFFIC ORDER 2024
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Brent ('the Council'), pursuant to arrangements made with the Council of the London Borough of Camden under section 9EA of the Local Government Act 2000 in accordance with regulation 7 of the Local Authorities (Arrangements for the Discharge of Functions) (England) Regulations 2012, on 28th October 2024 made the above-mentioned Order under section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of the 'Speed Limits' Order will be to impose a maximum speed limit of 20 miles per hour in:-
(a) Kilburn High Road (between its junctions with Oxford Road and Shoot-Up Hill); and
(b) Shoot-Up Hill (between its junctions with Kilburn High Road and Walm Lane).
3. A copy of the made Order, which will come into operation on 11th November 2024, of a map which indicates each length of road to which the Order relate, can be requested via email during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of a period of 6 weeks from the date on which the Order are made at:-
(a) Brent Customer Services, Brent Civic Centre, Engineers Way, Wembley, Middlesex, HA9 0FJ; or
(b) by application to Traffic Orders, Camden Council, 5 Pancras Square, London, N1C 4AG (contact traffic.orders@camden.gov.uk for details).
4. A copy of the Order may be purchased from the addresses mentioned in paragraph 3 above.
5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
