Meadway, Dunstable / West Hyde Road, Hyde - Temporary Traffic Prohibition
What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(MEADWAY, DUNSTABLE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the entire length of Meadway, Dunstable.
This temporary closure is required to enable pre surface dressing patching work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 18 to 29 November 2024 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period. The alternative route for this closure is via Canesworde Road, Kirby Road, West Street and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 18 November 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(WEST HYDE ROAD, HYDE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of West Hyde Road, Hyde from London Road to outside number 124.
This temporary closure is required to enable manhole replacement works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 4 to 8 November 2024 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period. The alternative route for this closure is via B653, Thrales End Lane, A1081 and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 4 November 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
