WAKEFIELD COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

(HIGH GREEN ROAD, NORMANTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 240) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to repair consequential damage to be carried out as follows:
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: High Green Road, Normanton.
The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of High Green Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: High Green Road, Lee Brig, Station Road, King Edward Street, High Street, Castleford Road, Whitwood Common Lane, California Drive, Express Way, Pope Street, Church Road & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 4th November 2024 at 19.00 hours to 5th November 2024 at 06.00 hours, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(DURKAR LOW LANE, DURKAR)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 254) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to replace a manhole cover & frame to be carried out as follows:
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Durkar Low Lane, Durkar outside number 9 for approximately 50 metres.
The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Durkar Low Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Denby Dale Road, Asdale Road, Durkar Low Lane & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 17th November 2024 at 09.00 hours to 13.00 hours, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(HILL TOP ROAD, NEWMILLERDAM)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 255) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to replace a fire hydrant cover & frame to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Hill Top Road, Newmillerdam from the junction with Barnsley Road.
The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Hill Top Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Barnsley Road, Chevet Lane, Lodge Lane, Hill Top Road & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 19th November 2024 to 20th November 2024 19.00 hours to 06.00 hours, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(GRANDSTAND ROAD, LOFTHOUSE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 257) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for vegetation management and tree trimming to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Grandstand Road, Lofthouse from the junction of Lawns Lane to a point 250 metres east.
The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Grandstand Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N /A.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 16th November 2024 to 17th November 2024 and 23rd November 2024 to 24th November 2024, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(NEWSTEAD AVENUE, WAKEFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 258) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for footway resurfacing to be carried out as follows:
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Newstead Avenue, Wakefield, full length.
The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Newstead Avenue.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Potovens Lane.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 15th November 2024 to 18th November 2024 07.30 hours to 15.30 hours daily, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(BRIDGE STREET, WAKEFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 264) 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to plane out and resurface the turning circle to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Bridge Street, Wakefield, turning circle only, in front of Rutland Mills complex.
The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Bridge Street.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Pedestrian access maintained. Buses will pick up and drop off passengers outside the Bridge Inn pub only and pedestrians use the signalled crossings to reach Rutland Mills complex.
Buses using the turning circle will be diverted via Bridge Street, Chancel Road and Doncaster Road.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 18th November 2024 to 20th November 2024 or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
