What is happening?

CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (C4022 LAMPLUGH, FANGS BROW MOCKERKIN, STRAWBERRY HOW ROAD, COCKERMOUTH AND STONEYCROFT, GREAT CLIFTON) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Cumberland Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the lengths of road specified in the attached Schedule.

Suitable diversion routes will be indicated on site by the display of relevant traffic signs as and when the temporary closures are in force. A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation on 5 November 2024 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as stated in the schedule and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

SCHEDULE

EXTENT OF RESTRICTIONS AND ALTERNATIVE ROUTES

1. C4022 Lamplugh - From 5 November 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/12202)

From a point approx. 830m north east of its junction with the A5086, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 700m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C4022, Sty Gate and the A5086.

2. Fangs Brow, Mockerkin - From 12 November 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/12283)

From its junction with the C4022, extending in a westerly direction for approx. 200m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of Fangs Brow, C2030, B5289 Low Lorton, B5292, Victoria Road, Lorton Street, Station Road and Lamplugh Road, Cockermouth and the A5086.

3. Strawberry How Road, Cockermouth - From 13 November 2024 for approx. 2 days ( Ref: TTROC/12299)

From a point approx. 200m north west of its junction with Hundith Hill Road, extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 340m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of Strawberry How Road, B5292 and Hundith Hill Road.

4. Stoneycroft, Great Clifton - From 14 November 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/12301)

From a point adjacent to No.32 Stoneycroft, extending in a north easterly for the remaining length of the cul-de-sac.

There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.
