What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN HODDESDON, CHESHUNT, GOFFS OAK, BROXBOURNE, WALTHAM CROSS AND TURNFORD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Yewlands, Hoddesdon from its junction with A1170 High Street south eastwards, north eastwards and clockwise for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. 
However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2. that length of Albemarle Avenue, Cheshunt from its junction with Mayo Close northwards and eastwards to its junction with Whitefields Road, a distance of approximately 153m.
An alternative route will be via Mayo Close and Whitefields Road.

3. that length of St Cuthberts Road, Hoddesdon from its junction with Old Highway north eastwards for a distance of approximately 95m.
An alternative route will be via Old Highway, Castle Road and St Cuthberts Road.

4. the service road leading to Nos.75-123 Cuffley Hill, Goffs Oak from its easternmost junction with B156 Cuffley Hill south westwards and north westwards for its entire length.
An alternative route will be via B156 Cuffley Hill.

5. the service road leading to Nos.25-53 Cuffley Hill and Nos.647-653 Goffs Lane, Goffs Oak from its junction with B156 Goffs Lane south westwards, north westwards and south westwards to its junction with Jones Road, a distance of approximately 435m.
An alternative route will be via B156 (Goffs Lane/Cuffley Hill) and Jones Road.

6. that length of Old Nazeing Road, Broxbourne from its northernmost junction with B194 New Nazeing Road south westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 267m.
An alternative route will be via B194 New Nazeing Road and Old Nazeing Road.

7. that length of The Gateways, Goffs Oak from its junction with Burton Lane north westwards and northwards for a distance of approximately 134m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. 
However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

8. that length of Briarswood, Goffs Oak from its junction with The Gateways north eastwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. 
However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

9. that length of Galley Green, Hoddesdon from its junction with A1170 Ware Road south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with the Hailey Lane roundabout, a distance of approximately 77m.
An alternative route will be via A1170 Ware Road.

10. that length of Colthurst Gardens, Hoddesdon from its junction with Fishermans Way south westwards, south eastwards, north eastwards and south westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. 
However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

11. that length of Little Pipers Close, Goffs Oak from its junction with Jones Road south eastwards for the entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. 
However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

12. that length of Doverfield, Goffs Oak from its junction with B156 Goffs Lane south westwards and north westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. 
However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

13. that length of Bruce Way, Waltham Cross from its junction with Park Lane north eastwards to its junction with Leven Drive, a distance of approximately 83m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. 
However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

14. the road leading to Nos.103-113 Rowan Drive, Turnford from its junction with Rowan Drive south westwards, north westwards and north eastwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. 
However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

15. that length of Dairyglen Avenue, Cheshunt from its junction with B176 Crossbrook Street south eastwards and clockwise for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. 
However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

16. that length of Cohen Close, Cheshunt from its junction with Dairyglen Avenue south eastwards for a distance of approximately 78m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. 
However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

17. that length of Turnfield Road, Hoddesdon from its junction with Bridleway South north eastwards and north westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. 
However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

18. that length of Goffs Crescent, Goffs Oak from its junction with Jones Road south eastwards, 
north eastwards and south westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. 
However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

19. that length of Isabelle Close, Goffs Oak from its junction with Doverfield north eastwards and north westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. 
However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

20. that length of Goffs Oak Avenue, Goffs Oak from its junction with Newgate Street Road south westwards, north westwards and south eastwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. 
However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 18 November 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF C11 (UNNAMED ROAD)/RAYMOUTS LANE, ANSTEY) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of C11 (unnamed road)/Raymouts Lane, Anstey from its junction with Mill Lane south westwards, south eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 539m (“the length of Roads”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Mill Lane, C10 (unnamed road), B1038 (Conduit Lane/unnamed 
road), B1368 (unnamed road), Lincoln Hill and Raymouts Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 20 November 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS ROADS IN WATTON AT STONE, STANDON AND BUNTINGFORD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) 
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following 
lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-

1. that length of Frogmore Hill, Watton at Stone from its junction with A602 Hooks Cross north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with 3U9 (unnamed road), a distance of approximately 125m.
An alternative route will be via A602 Hooks Cross, High Street, Walkern Road and 3U9 
(unnamed road).

2. that length of Meadow Walk, Standon from its junction with Station Road north eastwards and south eastwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. 
However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

3. that length of Porters Close, Buntingford from its junction with Honey Lane south westwards and south eastwards for its entire length.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. 

However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 19 November 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CROUCH LANE, GOFFS OAK) ORDER NO.4 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Crouch Lane, Goffs Oak from its junction with Argent Way south westwards for a distance of approximately 255m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Crouch Lane, Rags Lane, St James Road, Newgatestreet Road and Crouch Lane.

The Order is needed because ground investigation works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 3 November 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FISHERMANS WAY, HODDESDON) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Fishermans Way, Hoddesdon from its junction with Rye Road south eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 25m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Rye Road, Stanstead Road, Burford Street, A1170 Dinant Link Road, Essex Road, Pindar Road, Normandy Way and Fishermans Way or via Fishermans Way, Normandy Way, Pindar Road, Essex Road, A1170 (Dinant Link Road/ Amwell Road), Duke Street, Stanstead Road and Rye Road.

The Order is needed because remedial works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 4 November 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HORSESHOE HILL, GREAT HORMEAD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Horseshoe Hill, Great Hormead from its junction with Willow Close north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with B1038 (unnamed road), a distance of approximately 170m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Horseshoe Lane, Worsted Lane, B1368 (unnamed road) and B1038 (unnamed road).

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 4 November 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF KEEN AVENUE, BUNTINGFORD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Keen Avenue, Buntingford from its northernmost junction with the A10 Buntingford Bypass/A10 (unnamed road) roundabout north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 46m (“the Road”), except for access.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. 
However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because footpath and bellmouth completion works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 4 November 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
