Manchester - Proposed Road Humps on Bennett Street and Surrounding Areas

MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 - SECTION 90A HIGHWAYS (ROAD HUMPS) REGULATIONS 1999 PROPOSED ROAD HUMPS ON BENNETT STREET AND SURROUNDING AREAS

NOTICE is hereby given that Manchester City Council proposes to construct road humps in the lengths of road specified in the Schedule below. If no objections are received, road humps will be constructed on the lengths of road as detailed in the Schedule below after 25th November 2024.

A plan showing the location of the road humps may be inspected by appointment at Customer Service Centre Ground Floor, Town Hall Extension, M60 2LA (for Sat. Nav. use M2 5DB) between hours of 9am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday. Alternatively write in to the address below or email the Council for a copy of the documents. Objections to the proposal must be sent to me in writing to phlegal@ manchester.gov.uk or on the address below, stating the grounds on which they are made by 25th November 2024.

Road Humps
Flat Top Road Hump - 75mm high ( 3mm), various widths, width of the carriageway, with gradients no steeper than 1:10.

Brick Kiln Road/Galloway Drive (southern junction)
On Brick Kiln Road starting 86 metres northwest of Bennett Street in a north easterly direction for a distance of 20 metres. On Galloway Drive from Brick Kiln Road in a north easterly direction for a distance of 9 metres.

Brick Kiln Road/Galloway Drive (northern junction)
On Brick Kiln Road starting 186 metres northwest of Bennett Street in a northerly direction for a distance of 20 metres. On Galloway Drive from Brick Kiln Road in an easterly direction for a distance of 7 metres.

Galloway Drive/Old Tramway Close
On Galloway Drive 50 metres east of Brick Kiln Road in an easterly direction for a distance of 23 metres. On Old Tramway Close from Galloway Drive in a northerly direction for a distance of 10 metres.

Galloway Drive/Stone Yard Close
On Galloway Drive 108 metres east of Brick Kiln Road in an easterly then southerly direction for a distance of 40 metres. On Stone Yard Close from Galloway Drive in a northerly direction for a distance of 10 metres.
