IRELAND) ORDER 1997
NOTICE OF PROPOSED SPECIAL EVENT
Armagh City Banbridge and Craigavon
Borough Council has received an application
from BNL Productions Ltd that it wishes to hold
a Christmas Lights Switch On for Armagh City,
Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council in
Bridge Street and Newry Street, Banbridge on
Friday 29 November 2024.
By virtue of the powers conferred on it by
Article 8A of and Schedule 3A to the Road
Traffic Regulation (Northern Ireland) Order
1997 the Council gives notice that it is minded
to make an Order to temporarily restrict or
prohibit traffic on Friday 29 November 2024 as
follows:
• One lane in both directions of Bridge Street
and Newry Street, Banbridge (underneath
the cut) from 7.00 am to 12 midnight.
• Inside lane around the central reservation/
war memorial from the Newry Road
roundabout to the first pedestrian traffic
lights, Newry Street, Banbridge from 7.00
am to 12 midnight.
• Single land closure on Newry Road from
Lidls to the Newry Road roundabout from
7.00 am to 12 midnight
• Newry Street, Banbridge from 4.00 pm to 12
midnight.
• Bridge Street, Banbridge from 4.00 pm to 12
midnight
• Scarva Street, Banbridge from 4.00 pm to
12 midnight.
• Rathfriland Street, Banbridge from 4.00 pm
to 12 midnight.
A diversion route will be signposted via
Downshire Road, Downshire Place, Rathfriland
Street, Scarva Road, Commercial Road, Kenlis
Street and Bridge Street.

free of charge at the Civic Building, Downshire
Road, Banbridge BT32 3JY or viewed online at
www.armaghbanbridgecraigavon.gov.uk
Persons wishing to make representations
to the Council regarding the proposal may
make representations in writing at the address
below by 5.00 pm 22 November 2024,
representations received after this will not be
considered.
