intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to
make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic
(Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 because works are being or
proposed to be executed on or near the road and the effect
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in that length of
Balby Carr Bank at Balby in the City of Doncaster District and
suspend the weight restriction as described in the Schedule to
this notice on the dates and times referred to in the
said Schedule.
Reason for closure: To ensure the safety of the public and the
workforce whilst works for carriageway resurfacing and road
marking works are undertaken.
NOTICE is also given that the alternative route for vehicles
affected by the Order is via Woodfield Way, White Rose Way,
Middle Bank Roundabout, The Sidings Roundabout, Carr
House Road, Balby Road, Belmont Avenue, St Catherines
Avenue (Carr Hill). Those residents and businesses directly
affected by the works will be notified of the scheme and
access arrangements.

junction with Herons Way for 230m in a south easterly
direction.
2) Temporarily Suspend the 7.5 tonne weight restriction on
Belmont Avenue & St Catherines Avenue that form part of the
diversion route.
Dates and Times
07:00hrs 21st November 2024 until 19:00hrs 23rd November
2024. The road will reopen each evening.
In the event of engineering difficulties and/or adverse weather
conditions, the closure may extend beyond this date although
