C34 Redscar Bridge Junction to Ford Common Junction - Temporary Road Closure

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C34 Redscar Bridge Junction to Ford Common Junction Ford from its junction with the C35 heading north eastwards for a distance of 2160 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 19th November 2024 until the 13th December 2024.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 19th November 2024 until the 2nd December 2024, weekday working only during this period between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00; however, the order will remain in place until 13th December 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the C35, A697, B6354, B6353, U1032, C34, U1036, C36 and vice-versa.

The closure has been requested by Go Fibre to carry out mole ploughing and install chambers for the installation of fibre cabling. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
