Remembrance Sunday Parades And Services Temporary Road Closure - Sunday 10 November 2024

Notice is hereby given that on 30 October 2024 the Borough Council of Gateshead made an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close the roads described in the Schedule below to vehicular traffic on Sunday 10 November 2024 between the hours of 10:00am and 1:00pm. The Order is necessary to enable Annual Parades and Services of Remembrance to take place within the Borough of Gateshead and to ensure the safety of participants. An alternative route for vehicles during the closure will be available via the existing road network, which will be indicated by traffic signs. Emergency service vehicles on duty will be exempt from the prohibition. Dated 31 October 2024

SCHEDULE
Gateshead Cenotaph
(i) Durham Road (A167) between Dryden Road and Shipcote Terrace;

(ii) Shipcote Lane between Durham Road and Alexandra Road;

(iii) Prince Consort Road between Durham Road and St Albans Terrace;

(iv) St Albans Terrace between Prince Consort Road and Alexandra Road; and

(v) Alexandra Road between St Albans Terrace and Shipcote Lane.

Birtley Cenotaph
(i) Ravensworth Road between Edward Road and Station Lane;

(ii) Station Lane between Ravensworth Road and Durham Road (A167);

(iii) Durham Road (A167) between Station Lane and Edward Road; and

(iv) Edward Road between Durham Road (A167) and Ravensworth Road.

Whickham Cenotaph
(i) Front Street between Fellside Road and Broom Lane; and

(ii) School Street.

Dunston Cenotaph
(i) King George Avenue between Glebe Terrace and Willow Avenue.
