What is happening?

Somerset Council Parish of Old Cleeve

Temporary Closure of Roadwater Road, Harper Lane and Mount Lane

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Roadwater Road - from the junction with Tackers Street to the junction with Road Lane (18th - 22nd November) and from the junction with Clitsome View to the junction with Watersmeet Close (2nd - 13th December 2024); Harper Lane - (25th - 29th November 2024) from the junction with Old Mineral Line, south-eastwards for a distance of 176 metres; and Mount Lane - (2nd - 6th December 2024) from the junction with Roadwater Road, northwards for a distance of 38 metres. A total distance of 1640 metres. This Order will enable Wessex Water to carry out phased works for slip lining of existing sewer for future flood and pollution prevention.

The Order becomes effective on 15th November 2024 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 18th November 2024 and last until 13th December 2024 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 22 days.
