SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U7433 CHAPEL ROAD, STANNINGFIELD

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U7433 Chapel Road, Stanningfield from the junction with Smithy Close for 50 metres south eastbound b facilitate remedial works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Bury Road, Chapel Road, Stanningfield Road, the A134 and vice versa.

It Is Intended that the closure will operate on 31/10/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer If extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Anglian Water Services. Tel: 0345 714 5145.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U7121 HALL ROAD, CARLTON COLVILLE

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U7121 Hall Road, Carlton Colville from 110 metres north of the junction with The Street for 30 metres northbound to facilitate carriageway patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be The Street, Rectory Road, Church Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 31/10/2024 - 01/11/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Core Highways Ltd. Tel: 0330 043 3030.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C517 UPPER STREET, BROME AND OAKLEY

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C517 Upper Street, Brome and Oakley from the junction with Low Street for 50 metres southbound to facilitate fibre duct and cabling works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be The Street, Rectory Road, Eye Road, the B1077, the A140, the B1118, Upper Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/11/2024 - 15/11/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Firstcall Traffic Management. Tel: 01707 244593.

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (DISTRICT OF FOREST HEATH) (STOPPING, WAITING AND LOADING PROHIBITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS AND ON-STREET PARKING PLACES) (MAP-BASED) ORDER 2019 (PARISH OF RED LODGE) (VARIOUS ROADS) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING) (VARIATION N0.9) ORDER 2024

On 28/10/2024, Suffolk County Council made the above order under Sections 1(1) and (2), 2(1) to (3) 4(2) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which would incorporate revision 0 of Map Tiles DI33 and DJ33, and substitute revision 1 of Map Tile DH33 in place of revision Oof the same Map Tile, into the above-named 2019 order. The effect of this introduces: 'No waiting at any time' on:

  • both sides of Acer Way (U6252), Red Lodge, from its junction with Hundred Acre Way in a westerly direction for a distance of 10 metres.
  • both sides of Ash Court (U6252), Red Lodge, from its junction with Hundred Acre Way in an easterly direction for a distance of 10 metres.
  • both sides of Aspen Way (U6252), Red Lodge, from its junction with Hundred Acre Way in an easterly direction for a distance of 15 metres.
  • both sides of Fennel Drive (U6252), Red Lodge, from its junction with Hundred Acre Way in a westerly direction for a distance of 10 metres.
  • both sides of Hawthorn Close (U6252), Red Lodge, from its junction with Hundred Acre Way in an easterly direction for a distance of 10 metres.
  • both sides of Hornbeam Avenue (U6252), Red Lodge, from its junction with Hundred Acre Way in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 15 metres.
  • Hundred Acre Way (U6252), Red Lodge, west and north side:
  • from the southern point of the bus stop clearway outside no. 7 Periwinkle Walk in a generally southerly direction to a point at the property boundary between nos. 14 and 16 Hundred Acre Way, a distance of 130 metres.

  • from a point adjacent to the property boundary between nos. 86 and 88 Hundred Acre Way in a generally southerly direction to a point at the property boundary between nos. 90 and 92 Hundred Acre Way, a distance of 32 metres.
  • from the northern point of the bus stop clearway outside nos. 110 to 116 Hundred Acre Way in a northerly direction to a point aligned with the southern building line of no. 108 Hundred Acre Way, a distance of 17 metres.
  • from the southern point of the bus stop clearway outside nos. 110 to 116 Hundred Acre Way in a generally westerly direction to its southern roundabout junction with Warren Road, a distance of 177 metres.
  • Hundred Acre Way (U6252), Red Lodge, east and south side:
  • From a point opposite no. 7 Periwinkle Walk at the southern end of the bus stop clearway in a generally southerly direction to a point adjacent to the property boundary between nos. 39 and 41 Hundred Acre Way, a distance of 43 metres
  • from a point opposite the property boundary between nos. 6 and 8 Hundred Acre Way in a generally southerly direction to a point at the northern end of the bus stop clearway outside nos. 81 to 91 Hundred Acre Way, a distance of 190 metres.

'No waiting 8am - 6pm' on:

  • the east side of Hundred Acre Way (U6252), Red Lodge, from a point adjacent to the property boundary between Nos. 4 and 5 Peppermint Walk in a north-easterly direction to its junction with Pippin Court, a distance of 24 metres.

'No Stopping Except Buses' for all eight bus stop clearways marked along Hundred Acre Way. Exemptions to the waiting restrictions allow a vehicle to wait for so long as is necessary to board or alight or to load and unload for building, industrial or demolition works; for the maintenance of the road or its services; and for fulfilling statutory duties. There are the usual exemptions for Blue Badge holders.

A copy of the order, which comes into effect on 8/11/2024, and maps showing the roads affected, may be seen with advance notice at the address below, 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday; also at Mildenhall Library, Mildenhall Hub, Sheldrick Way, Mildenhall IP28 7JX, 9am - 5.30pm Monday -Friday; 9am - 5pm Saturday and 10am - 4pm Sunday.

If anyone wishes to question the validity of the order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds that any of the requirements of that Act or any instrument made under it have not been complied with in relation to the order, they may within six weeks of the date on which the order was made apply to the High Court for this purpose.
