Braeside (D3072) New Haw - Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Order For Works And/Or Any Other Associated Works

What is happening?

THE SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL
Braeside (D3072) New Haw Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 30 October 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Braeside (D3072) New Haw. 

Alternative Route – Scotland Bridge Road; Woodham Lane; and Kings Road. The Order is required to allow telecoms utility works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Circet UK and/or BT Openreach within the length of road described in this notice. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over three days between the hours of 8am and 6pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 11 November 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents within the closure area, the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. 

All other through traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Vicarage Road (B388) Egham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 30 October 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Vicarage Road (B388) Egham as extends from its junction with (X7051) Vicarage Crescent to its junction with the access to “Melburne Park”. Alternative Route – High Street; (A30) Egham By-Pass; (A308) The Glanty/The Causeway; Thorpe Road; Thorpe Lea Road; New Wickham Lane; and Vicarage Road. The Order is required to allow Bridge and Structures inspection works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Connect Plus Services and/or National Highways within the length of road described in this notice. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over one night between the hours of 12.30am and 5am within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 11 November 2024. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for residents within the closure area, the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other through traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

C126 Lyne Lane, Chertsey Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 30 October 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of C126 Lyne Lane, Chertsey that extends from its junction with B389 Green Road, Thorpe, to its junction with C127 Lyne Crossing Road, Lyne. This Traffic Order is required to enable Jackson Civil Engineering to carry out joint investigations and/ or replacement to the “Lyne Lane Bridge” and/or highway improvements and/or installations and/or surfacing and/or maintenance works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9pm and 5:30am, within 12 nights of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 11 November 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency services, residents and businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Alternative route: – Southbound – Green Road, Sandhills Lane, Trumps Green Road, Bridge Lane, Lyne Crossing Road. Northbound – Lyne Crossing Road, Bridge Lane, Trumps Green Road, Sandhills Lane and Green Road.

D3801 Sunbury Lane, Walton on Thames Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024

On 30 October 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to: – 1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3801 Sunbury Lane, Walton on Thames that extends from the southern side of its junction with Sunbury Close, southward for a distance of 50m. 2. Suspend the “Surrey County Council D3801 Sunbury Lane, Walton on Thames Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” in its entirety. 

This Traffic Order is required to enable Affinity Water/FM Conway to carry out water mains repair and/or connection and/or maintenance works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 4pm within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 11 November 2024. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. 

Access for emergency vehicles, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative route: – Terrace Road, Russel Road and Franklin Road.

D138 Rutton Hill Road, Bowlhead Green and D138 French Lane, Thursley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 30 October 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire lengths of D138 Rutton Hill Road, Bowlhead Green and D138 French Lane, Thursley. 

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate surface dressing works, pre-patching works and/or major maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 11 November 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. 

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. 

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. 

Alternative Route 1 – D137 Park Lane, A286 Haslemere Road, A283 Cherry Tree Road, A3 Portsmouth Road (National Highways), A3 Thursley Slip southbound (National Highways) and C30 Thursley Junction; 

Alternative Route 2 – C30 Thursley Junction, A3 Old Portsmouth Road (National Highways), A3 Portsmouth Road (National Highways), A3 Milford By Pass (National Highways), A283 Link Road, A283 Guildford Road, A283 Portsmouth Road, A283 Cherry Tree Road, A286 Haslemere Road and D137 Park Lane.

D4015 High Street and A3100 High Street, Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic (including pedestrians and cyclists) from entering or proceeding in: – a) That length of D4015 High Street, Guildford, including the footway, that extends from the south-eastern property boundary of “No.169 High Street”, to its junction with A3100 High Street. b) That length of A3100 High Street, Guildford, including the footway, that extends from its junction with D4015 High Street, to the south-eastern property boundary of “No.183 High Street”. 

This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out signal works and/or maintenance and/or highway works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 7pm and 5am, within 2 weeks of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 18 November 2024. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times under direction of site operatives and/or by signs. 

Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative route: – Guildford High Street, Quarry Street, Castle Street, Sydenham Road, Jenner Road, Epsom Road and Guildford High Street. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Applegarth Avenue (D4000) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Applegarth Avenue (D4000) Guildford as extends from a point in line with the common property boundary line between No. 87 and No. 89 Applegarth Avenue to a point in line with the common property boundary line between No. 91 and No. 93 Applegarth Avenue. 

Alternative Route – Applegarth Avenue. The Order is required to allow new mains water connection works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Affinity Water within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over four days between the hours of 8am and 6pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 19 November 2024. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. 

Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access through the closure area and all traffic including residents and the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected.

Upper Halliford By-Pass (A244) Shepperton Temporary Traffic Management Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles: – (a) that are travelling in a northerly direction along Upper Halliford By-Pass (A244) Shepperton from turning left into (D6263) Charlton Lane; and (b) from entering or proceeding in the entire length of the dedicated left turn lane on Upper Halliford By-Pass (A244) Shepperton at its junction with (D6263) Charlton Lane. 

Alternative Route – Upper Halliford By-Pass Northbound; Roundabout; Upper Halliiford By-Pass Southbound; and Right turn onto Charlton Lane. This Order, which will commence on 25 November 2024 for a period of 12 months is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the said roads, to be carried out by or on behalf of Marjen Ltd and/or Walden Telecoms, including but not limited to: excavation for mobile telecoms installation works and/or any other associated works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out in two phases. 

Phase 1 commencing on 25 November 2024 for 5 days and phase 2 commencing on 16 December 2024 for 5 days. 

All works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 10am and 4pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary prohibitions will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no vehicular access through the closure areas specified in part (b) to this Notice and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion routes. No sole access will be affected.

D6815 Claygate Lane, Thames Ditton Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to: a) Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D6815 Claygate Lane, Thames Ditton that extends from its junction with A307 Portsmouth Road, to its junction with D6815 Brooklands Road. b) Suspend “The Urban District of Esher (Claygate Lane, Thames Ditton)(Prescribed Route)Order 1972” in its entirety. This Order is required to enable Network Rail/Nationwide Engineering to carry out rail works and/or inspections and/or maintenance. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 10pm and 6am, within 5 nights of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 25 November 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times. Pedestrian access to affected properties will be maintained at all times. 

Access for residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times to the point of works via the alternative route: – Brooklands Road, Portsmouth Road and Claygate Lane. Under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.
