What is happening?
HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN POTTERSHEATH ROAD, WELWYN/POTTERSHEATH) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Pottersheath Road, Welwyn/Pottersheath from its junction with Spinney Lane south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Canonsfield Road, a distance of approximately 1030m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Spinney Lane, Wych Elm Lane, Bridge Road, B197
London Road, Heath Road and Canonsfield Road.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides
of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near
the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 18 November 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. A copy of the proposed Order may be inspected free of charge at County Hall, Hertford between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm (excluding weekends, bank and public holidays).

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN THE HATFIELD ROAD LINK ROAD SITUATED OPPOSITE 'THE ROYAL BRITISH LEGION', POTTERS BAR) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the Hatfield Road Link Road situated opposite 'The Royal British Legion', Potters Bar from its junction with A1000 High Street south eastwards to its junction with B156 The Causeway, a distance of approximately 22m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via A1000 (High Street/Barnet Road), Waggon Road,
A111 (Stagg Hill/Southgate Road) and A1000 High Street.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides
of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near
the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 18 November 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF DOVE COURT, HATFIELD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Dove Court, Hatfield from its junction with Heron Way north eastwards for its entire length ("the Road"), except for access. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 18 November 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE COMMONS, WELWYN GARDEN CITY) ORDER NO.2 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under
Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular
traffic from using that length of The Commons, Welwyn Garden City from its
westernmost junction with Howlands south eastwards for a distance of
approximately 58m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via Howlands and The Commons.
The Order is needed because telecommunication maintenance and repair works
are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 20 November 2024 for a period
of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the
times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HATFIELD PUBLIC BYWAY OPEN TO ALL TRAFFIC NO.094 (PONSBOURNE PARK)) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using Hatfield Public Byway Open to All Traffic No.094 (Ponsbourne Park) from its junction with Hatfield Public Byway Open to All Traffic No.095 north eastwards for a distance of approximately 15m ("the Public Byway Open to All Traffic"). There is no alternative route available for traffic when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this Public Byway Open to All Traffic will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. The Order is needed because utility repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Public Byway Open to All Traffic.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 18 November 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Public Byway Open to All Traffic. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH SITUATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF NO.11 LONGMEAD, WOOLMER GREEN) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath situated on the south side of No.11 Longmead, Woolmer Green from its junction with Longmead north eastwards for a distance of approximately 27m ("the Footpath").
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the east side of Longmead, the footpath situated between No.15 and No.16 Longmead and the footpath situated to the rear of Nos.11-15 Longmead.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 1 November 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Mount Way, Welwyn Garden City from its junction with Hollybush Lane south eastwards to its junction with Ryelands, a distance of approximately 196m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via Hollybush Lane, Howlands and Ryelands. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 1 November 2024 for
a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE SERVICE ROAD FRONTING NOS.12-17 ORCHARD PARADE, POTTERS BAR) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the service road fronting Nos.12-17 Orchard Parade, Potters Bar from its junction with B556 Mutton Lane south westwards and north westwards to its junction with Mimms Hall Road, a distance of approximately 112m ("the Road"). An alternative route will be via B556 Mutton Lane, Auckland Road, Cambridge Drive and Mimms Hall Road or via B556 Mutton Lane, Wroxham Gardens, Deepdene and Mimms Hall Road.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 5 November 2024 for

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS ROADS IN HATFIELD) ORDER NO.2 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access:-
1. that length of Parsonage Lane, Hatfield from its junction with Pooleys Lane south eastwards to its junction with Dellsome Lane, a distance of approximately 483m. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
2. that length of Parsonage Road, Hatfield from its junction with Parsonage Lane north westwards, northwards and north eastwards for its entire length.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Digswell Road, Welwyn Garden City from its junction with Digswell Rise north eastwards to its junction with the Knightsfield roundabout, a distance of approximately 330m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via Digswell Road, B195 (The Campus roundabout/ The Campus/Bridge Road), A1000 (Bessemer Road/Mundells/Bessemer Road) and Digswell Road or via Digswell Road, A1000 (Bessemer Road/Mundells/ Bessemer Road), B195 (Bridge Road/The Campus roundabout) and Digswell Road. ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
