A899 Livingston - Road Closure For Resurfacing Works

What is happening?

THE WEST LOTHIAN COUNCIL (A899 LIVINGSTON) (TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2024 - TTO/24/390

The Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that the road noted in the Schedule below will be closed for the period specified to enable resurfacing works to be carried out. Traffic will be diverted as undernoted. Pedestrians will be unaffected. Further information is available from the Roads Manager on 01506 280000.

 SCHEDULE - ROAD CLOSURE
Location: Full length of A899 between Livingston East and Dechmont Roundabouts, both directions. The associated lanes (i.e. lanes for A899 northbound) on the Livingston East Roundabout will also be closed. The associated lanes (i.e. lanes and approaches for A899 southbound) on the Dechmont Roundabout, A89 (both approaches), A899 north approach and local approach from Dobbies will also be closed.

Diversion Route: A899 Northbound Closure: Traffic travelling northbound towards Dechmont roundabout will be diverted via Livingston Road, Houstoun Road, Deans Road and A89. A899 Southbound.

Closure: Traffic will be diverted via A89, Deans Road and Houston Road. Traffic intending to join M8 eastbound from A899 will be diverted via Livingston Road, Houston Road and Deans Road.

Dates and Times: Overnight closures for five nights between 2000hrs on 7 November and 0600hrs on 16 November 2024.
