NOTICE OF ORDER

Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 - Section 53

Luton Borough Council
Footpath LO75 (39 & 41 Stanmore Crescent to 35 & 37 Icknield Road) Definitive Map Modification Order 2023

Notice is hereby given that the above referenced Order has been submitted to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for determination. An Inspector will be appointed by the Secretary of State to determine the Order.

The start date for the above Order is 23 July 2024

Consideration of the Order will take the form of a public local inquiry.

The Inquiry will be held at Luton Borough Council, Town Hall, George Street, Luton Borough Council, LU1 2BQ.

on 4th and 5th December 2024. at 10.00am.

The effect of the Order, if confirmed without modifications, will be to l modify the definitive map and statement for the excluded fully developed area of Luton by adding to them the following length of footpath as described in the full Order and summarised below: The length of Footpath reference LO75 to be added extends from the side of 39 & 41 Stanmore Crescent, Luton at Ordnance Survey map grid reference E506825 N223846 (Point A on the Order map) travelling in a south easterly direction for approximately 80 metres to a point by the side of 35 & 37 Icknield Road, Luton at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference E506881 N223789 (Point B on the Order map). The Footpath varies in width between 3.0 meters and 2.7metres approximately.
