Dicconsons Lane, Halsall - Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic to Allow New Service Connection Works

What is happening?

LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(C115 DICCONSONS LANE, HALSALL, WEST LANCASHIRE BOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.

1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of C115 Dicconsons Lane, Halsall from C104 Rosemary Lane, Downholland to the South West boundary of the property named Blundell House Cottage.

2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.

3. The prohibition will be operative from 0930 hours until 1530 hours on Monday 4th November 2024 or until completion of the works within this period.

4. Vehicular access for residents will be maintained whenever and wherever possible. Pedestrian access to properties will always be maintained.

5. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:- C115 Bye Lane, Downholland – B5195 Broad Lane, Downholland – B5195 Birches Brow, Aughton – B5195 Formby Lane, Aughton – C116 Fir Tree Lane, Aughton – U959 Shepherds Lane, Aughton and vice versa.

The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow new service connection works to be carried out by Sunbelt Rentals UK on behalf of BT.
