(Definitive Bridleway Leeds 259)
(Temporary Closure) Order
The Council of the City of Leeds has made the following Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: the LEEDS CITY COUNCIL (DEFINITIVE BRIDLEWAY LEEDS 259) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024. The Order closes to equestrians, pedestrians and all other users; Definitive Bridleway Leeds 259, from the point on the north side of Skelton Lake where the Bridleway branches to east side of Skelton Lake (Easting: 435072, Northing: 430800), continuing along the north and west sides of the Lake for a distance of approximately 856 metres (to Easting: 434625, Northing: 430305). The diversion route will be via the unaffected length of Definitive Bridleway Leeds 259 that extends along the east and south sides of Skelton Lake. The Order is necessary to enable works of improvement to be undertaken to the Bridleway. The Order is due to come into operation on 28 October 2024. It is anticipated that the works will be completed by 28 February 2025, at which time the Order will cease to have effect. The Order may however continue in effect to 28 April 2025, or such lesser time as may be required by the progress of the works.
