THE A40 TRUNK ROAD (GOLDEN VALLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (a) has made an Order on the A40 trunk road in the County of Gloucestershire to allow resurfacing and associated maintenance works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to take place overnight (20.00 to 06.00) and one weekend (20.00 Friday to 06.00 Monday) commencing on or after 1 November 2024 and be completed by 27 November 2024.
The effect of the Order will be to authorise the closure of:
(a) the A40 westbound from Junction 11 of the M5 to Elmbridge Court Roundabout;
(b) the A40 westbound entry slip road from Junction 11 of the M5;
(c) the laybys adjacent to the section of the A40 given at (a) above.
During the closures, traffic will be diverted via junctions of the A40 and local roads.
The closures (which will not apply to emergency service, traffic officer or works vehicles) and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs throughout the works.
The Order will come into force on 28 October 2024 and have a maximum duration of 18 months.
