Ducie Street - Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic For A Crane Operation
What is happening?
MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER_ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC140349671: The City of Manchester (Ducie Street, Piccadilly Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Ducie Street between Great Ancoats Street and Pigeon Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Great Ancoats Street, Store Street, Jutland Street, Ducie Street & Great Ancoats Street, Newton Street, Dale Street. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate a crane operation. It is expected that the works will be in progress on 9th November 2024 & 10th November 2024 with backup dates of 16th November 2024 & 17th November 2024.
The order shall come into operation on 9th November 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 30th October 2024.
