THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

THE LEICESTER (GRANBY STREET IMPROVEMENT WORKS) (TEMPORARY) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicester City Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be, for the following anticipated period of time to:
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles and prohibit waiting and loading at any time on Granby Street between its junctions with Dover Street and with York Street from 7.00am on Monday 4th November 2024 until 11.59pm on Monday 18th November 2024.
Diversion route: Dover Street, Albion Street, York Street.
Diversion route: St Georges Way, Humberstone Road, Humberstone Gate, Charles Street, Rutland Street.
Reverse existing one-way restriction on York Street in its entirety from 7.00am on Monday 4th November 2024 until 11.59pm on Monday 18th November 2024.

Prohibit waiting and loading at any time on York Street between its junction with Albion Street and a point 15 metres north thereof and between its junction with Granby Street and a point 15 metres south thereof from 7.00am on Monday 4th November 2024 until 11.59pm on Friday 29th November 2024.
Suspend bus gate on Rutland Street at its junction with Charles Street from 7.00am on Monday 4 th November 2024 until 11.59pm on Friday 29th November 2024.

Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Chatham Street between its junction with Granby Street and a point 70 metres south-west thereof from 7.00am on Monday 4th November 2024 until 11.59pm on Friday 29th November 2024.

Prohibit one-way restriction and prohibit waiting and loading at any time on Chatham Street between its junction with Stamford Street and a point 40 metres north-east thereof from 7.00am on Monday 4th November 2024 until 11.59pm on Friday 29th November 2024.

Prohibit the movement of cyclists on Granby Street between its junctions with Chatham Street and with Dover Street from 7.00am on Monday 4th November 2024 until 11.59pm on Friday 29th November 2024.
Diversion route: Belvoir Street, Stamford Street, Chatham Street, Albion Street, Dover Street.

Prohibit waiting and loading at any time on Dover Street between its junctions with Granby Street and with Albion Street from 7.00am on Monday 4th November 2024 until 11.59pm on Friday 29th November 2024.
Suspend pedestrian zone on Charles Street between its junctions with Rutland Street and with Humberstone Gate from 7.00am on Monday 4 th November 2024 until 11.59pm on Friday 29th November 2024.
Suspend pedestrian zone on Granby Street between its junctions with Northampton Street and with St Georges Way from 7.00am on Monday 4th November 2024 until 11.59pm on Friday 29th November 2024.

Prohibit the movement of all vehicles and prohibit waiting and loading at any time on Granby Street between its junctions with Dover Street and with Belvoir Street from 7.00am on Monday 18th November 2024 until Friday 22nd November 2024.
Diversion route: Dover Street, Albion Street
Diversion route: St Georges Way, Humberstone Road, Humberstone Gate, Charles Street, Rutland Street.
Suspend one-way restriction on York Street in its entirety from 7.00am on Monday 18th November 2024 until Friday 22nd November 2024.

Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on York Street between its junction with Granby Street and a point 20 metres south thereof from 7.00am on Monday 18th November 2024 until Friday 22nd November 2024.

The Order will come into effect on the 4th November 2024 and will continue in force for up to 18 months, or until the order is no longer deemed necessary, whichever is the earlier.

Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
