SOMERSET COUNCIL
PARISH OF LONG SUTTON Temporary Closure of Part of Bridleway L21/56 order 2024

TAKE NOTICE that in pursuance of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992 The Secretary of State for Transport in exercise of his powers under Section 15(5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, has approved an extension to the above Order for a period of two years from 30th October 2024 to 10th October 2026.
The original Order came into effect on 21st May 2024 due to the likelihood of danger to the public due to an unsafe footbridge. The Order PROHIBITS ALL TRAFFIC from proceeding along Bridleway L21/56 from its junction with the B3165 in an easterly direction for approximately 1.3km until its junction with Footpath L21/49. There is no alternative route available.
