Chapel Road - Temporary Closure For Telecom Works

Temporary Closure of Chapel Road
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Chapel Road - from the junction with Orchard Lane and Old A303 Chapel Cross, southwards for a total distance of 140 metres.
This Order will enable Clarkes Telecom to carry out telecom works at the BT Exchange on behalf of Vodafone.
The Order becomes effective on 14th November 2024 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 20th November 2024 and last until 21st November 2024 between the hours of 08:00 - 17:00 for a total of 2 days.
