Bolton, Multiple Road Closures Due To Rememberance Parade

What is happening?

REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES

THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF BOLTON ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION (SPECIAL EVENTS) ACT 1994 REMEMBRANCE PARADES 2024 - TEMPORARY CLOSURES

The Council will make an order, operative from 9am, Sunday 10 November, to enable Remembrance Day Parades to take place between approximately 9am and 3pm. All vehicles not engaged in the events will be prohibited from proceeding on affected streets in the following areas:

Bolton Town Centre, Horwich, Blackrod, Westhoughton, Kearsley, Farnworth, Little Lever.

The Town Centre event will introduce additional restrictions on surrounding streets. Closures in the district events will be rolling roadblocks, only affecting traffic whilst the parade passes.

Full details including lists of affected streets are on our website. The order will cease to have effect at 5pm on the above date or on completion of the events, whichever first occurs.
