(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Highland Council has made an Order in terms of Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, entitled as above. The Order has been made in the interest of public safety during the Remembrance Sunday parade.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit access by vehicular traffic except for emergency services from 1000 hours on Sunday 10th November 2024 until 1230 hours on the same day to the following lengths of road in Dingwall: (i) a section of the U4521 High Street, Dingwall extending from its junction with the U4520 South Church Street eastwards to its junction with the U4481 Achany Road and U4482 Ferry Road Junction a distance of 330 metres or thereby, (ii) the U4520 South Church Street extending from its junction with the C1216 Mart Road (Northern Link Road) to its junction with the U4521 High Street a distance of 90 metres or thereby, (iii) the U4489 George Street extending from its junction with the U4521 High Street northwards for a distance of 100 metres or thereby to the parking area.
An alternative route will be available via the A862 (Windhill-Ardullie) – C1216 (Mart Road (Northern Link Road)) – C1214 Tulloch Street and this will be signed.
Pedestrian and emergency access will be maintained at all times.
