SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C693 THURSTON ROAD, C692 THURSTON ROAD AND C693 NEW ROAD, THURSTON AND ROUGHAM
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads In the following phases: 1.C693 Thurston Road, Thurston
2.
- C692 Thurston Road, Rougham from The Round Mouse to the junction with Beyton Road, Thurston
- C693 New Road, Rougham from the junction with Thurston Road to Rougham Estates.
This Is to facilitate the construction of new ties into carriageway and resurfacing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion routes will be:
1. Thurston Road, Beyton Road and vice versa
2.
- Beyton Road, Thurston Road, The Green, Bury Road, the AH, the A124 Junction 45, Sow Lane, Mount Road and no vice versa
- Mount Road, Sow Lane, the A14, the A14 Junction 46, Thurston Road, Beyton Road and no vice versa
Beyton Road, Thurston Road, The Green, Bury Road, the AH, the A124 Junction 45, Sow Lane, Mount Road and no vice versa
- Mount Road, Sow Lane, the A14, the A14 Junction 46, Thurston Road, Beyton Road and no vice versa
- New Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from:
1.25/10/2024-18/11/2024
2.18/11/2024-30/11/2024.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTPATH 5X, BURY ST EDMUNDS
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing Footpath 5X, Bury St Edmunds from the junction with Northgate Avenue for 153 metres eastbound to facilitate a gas mains replacement. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
The diversion route will be the footbridge over the A14, Thinghoe Hill, the underpass on the A1101 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 04/11/2024 - 22/11/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 6 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ENTRY ON PART OF THE U5937 KILN LANEJJ5934 STUD ROAD AND U5935 HOLEYWALL LANE, STOWLANGTOFT, LANGHAM AND WALSHAM LE WILLOWS
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order prohibiting the entry of motor vehicles onto the following roads at the following locations:
- U5937 Kiln Lane, Stowlangfoft from the junction with Walsham Road
- U5934 Stud Road, Langham from the junction with Ixworth Road
- U5935 Holeywall Lane, walsham Le Willows from the junction with Ixworth Road.
This is to ease pressure on the roads while the A1088 is closed. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
Access to these roads from junctions that are not listed is unaffected.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U8639 CATS LANE. SUDBURY
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U8639 Cafe Lane, Sudbury from 25 metres southwest of Hillside Road for 170 metres south westbound to facilitate pole replacements. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion routes will be Eastbound: the B1508, the B1115, the A131 and no vice versa. Westbound: the A131, the B1508 and novice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 05/11/2024 from 9.30am - 4.30pm but, if necessary,

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2442 TEMPLE ROAD, IPSWICH
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U2442 Temple Road, Ipswich from
no. 46 for 30 metres northbound to facilitate communication pipe repairs. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Princethorpe Road, Chilton Road and vice versa.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND SUSPENSION OF PROHIBITION OF MOTOR VEHICLES ON PART OF THE C51 PORTMAN ROAD AND THE U5009 SIR ALF RAMSEY WAY, IPSWICH
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C51 Portman Road, Ipswich from
Sir Alf Ramsey Way for 30 metres northbound to facilitate replacing an electrical link box.
Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Sir Alf Ramsey Way, West End Road, Handford Road and vice versa.
For the duration of this closure there will also a temporary suspension of the prohibition of motor vehicles on the U5009 Sir Alf Ramsey Way, Ipswich to allow access and egress.
It is intended that these measures will operate from 04/11/2024 - 08/11/2024 but, if necessary,

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U1029 Foundation Street, Ipswich from no. 70 for 30 metres north eastbound to facilitate repairs to a water sluice valve and chamber. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U5543 Highbury Crescent, Bury St Edmunds from the junction with Westley Road for 50 metres southbound to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Westley Road, Gainsborough Road, Westbury Avenue and vice versa. It is intended that the closure will operate from 05/11/2024 - 07/11/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C328 PLAYFORD ROAD, LITTLE BEALINGS
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C328 Playford Road. Little Bealings from the junction with Hall Road and The Street for 25 metres westbound to facilitate cabling for a new telecommunications connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Martlesham Road, Main Road, the A1214 Main Road, the A1214 Woodbridge Road, Playford Road and vice versa.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U4619 WINDGAP LANE, HAUGHLEY
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following road in the following phases:
1. U4619 Windgap Lane, Haughley from Fishponds Way to the junction with Ladyfield
2. U4619 Windgap Lane, Haugnley from the junction with Ladyfield to the junction with Denny Avenue 3.U4619 Windgap Lane, Haughley from the junction with Denny Avenue to the junction with Blxby Avenue 4.U4619 Windgap Lane, Haughley from Fishponds Way to Station Road. This is to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Fishponds Way, Station Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 04/11/2024 - 08/11/2024 from 9.30am - 4pm.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U4428 CROMER ROAD, IPSWICH
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U4428 Cromer Road, Ipswich from no. 53 to no. 59 to facilitate manhole cover repairs. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Norwich Road, Deben Road, Westbourne Road and vice versa.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1077 MOW HILL, WITNESHAM Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the B1077 Mow Hill, Witnesham from the junction with Tuddenham Lane for 70 metres northbound to facilitate access to telegraph poles for overhead cabling works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Wash Lane, the B1077, the B1078, the B1079, the A12, the A1214, the B1077, Hall Lane and vice versa.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2334 CRABBE STREET, ALDEBURGH
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U2334 Crabbe Street, Aldeburah from the junction with High Street for 25 metres eastbound to facilitate safety during erecting scaffolding. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be the A1094, Crabbe Street and no vice versa. It is intended that the closure will operate from 04/11/2024 - 02/12/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3508 THE STREET, LETHERINGHAM
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U3508 The Street, Letheringham from 60 metres west of the junction with Park Road for 80 metres westbound to facilitate the installation of a new electrical connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Cooks Hill, Hall Road, Sanctuary Bridge and vice versa.

- C724 Cosford Road, Aldham from Whatfield Road to no. 2
- C724 Ivy Tree Lane, Hadleigh from Cosford Road for 30 metres westbound
- C725 Whatfield Road, Aldham from Cosford Road for 20 metres north westbound
- C725 road from the A1071 to the 8417, Hadlejgh from Cosford Road for 30 metres south eastbound. This is to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

- C557 The Street, Wyverstone
- C557 Rectory Road, Wyverstone
- C557 Finningham Road, Westhorpe.
This to facilitate carriageway patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Finningham Road, Westhorpe, Westhorpe Road, Finningham, the B1113 Walsham Road, Finningham, Finningham Road, The Street, The Causeway, BadwelfRoad, Walsham Le Willows, The Street, Richer Road, Badwell Ash, Long Thurtow Road, Great Ashfield, Long Thurlow Road, Wyverstone Road, Badwell Ash, Badwell Ash Road, Wyverstone and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 04/11/2024 - 08/11/2024 from 9.30am - 4pm with a further closure scheduled for associated works. The diversion route will be Millway Lane, Low Water Lane and vice versa. It is intended that the closure wilfoperate from 04/11/2024 - 08/11/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
