What is happening?

CAMBRIDGESHIRE

NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after seven days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:

Northfield Road, Soham (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1509

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Northfield Road, Soham as lies between North Drive and Old School Close. The alternative route for vehicles is via Northfield Road - Holmes Lane (C141) -Townsend - The Shade - A142 and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 5 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 4 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 5 November and 6 November 2024.

Mill Lane, Burwell (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1510

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Mill Lane, Burwell as lies between Granary House and Green Lane. The alternative route for vehicles is via Mill Lane - B1102 - Isaacson Road and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 18 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 17 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 18 November and 20 November 2024.

Broad Piece, Soham (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1516

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Broad Piece, Soham as lies between numbers 6 and 22. The alternative route for vehicles is via Broad Piece - Mereside - Julius Martin Lane -Townsend - The Shade - A142 - Barway Road -Blockmoor Road - The Cotes and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water main installation and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 25 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 24 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 25 November and 29 November 2024.

Toyse Lane, Burwell (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1541

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Toyse Lane, Burwell as lies between Blossom Close and Ravenward Drive. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1102 - The Causeway (C221) - North Street (C221) - Toyse Lane and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 4 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 3 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 4 November and 6 November 2024.

Wayhead, Coveney (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1543

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Wayhead, Coveney as lies between Gravel End and Straight Drove. The alternative route for vehicles is via Downham Hythe Drove - The Hythe, Little Downham - High Road - B1411 - A10 - West Fen Road, Ely - West Fen Road, Witchford -West Fen, Coveney - Green Drove - School Lane - Main Street - Gravel End and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway maintenance and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 1 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 30 April 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 07:30hrs and 18:00hrs 1 November 2024 to 31 March 2025.

Granby Street, Littleport (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2024-1562

Is to stop any vehicle from parking/waiting along Granby Street, Littleport as lies between numbers 11 and 19. During the period this order remains in force CCC (Various Streets, Littleport) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) Order 1994; Schedule 4 lengths of road or sides of roads in the District of East Cambridgeshire, Parish of Littleport, Waiting for more than 30 minutes prohibited and no return within 30 minutes between 8am and 6pm Monday-Saturday inclusive, Granby Street -West side from a point 15 metres south of its junction with Wellington Street southwards to a point 48 metres north of its junction with Main Street/Victoria Street is hereby suspended. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 11 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 10 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 11 November and 22 November 2024.

City Road, Littleport (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1563

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along City Road, Littleport as lies between Station Road and White Hart Lane. The alternative route for vehicles is via Station Road - White Heart Lane and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 11 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 10 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 11 November and 22 November 2024.

Barkhams Lane, Littleport (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1564

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Barkhams Lane, Littleport as lies between Hempfield Road and Victoria Street. The alternative route for vehicles is via Hempfield Road - High Street - Main Street -Victoria Street or via Victoria Street - Granby Street - Wellington Street (C315) - Crown Lane - High Street - Hempfield Road. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 11 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 10 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 11 November and 22 November 2024.

Hall Barn Road, Isleham (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1565

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Hall Barn Road, Isleham as lies between West Street and Temple Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via West Street - Mill Street - Fordham Road -Isleham Road - B1102 - Soham Road, Fordham - Fordham Road (C145), Soham - A142 -East Fen Drove - East Fen Drove, Isleham -Common Gate Drove - Temple Road and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 18 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 17 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 18 November and 19 November 2024.

Chippenham Footpath 2, Chippenham (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2024-1572

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Chippenham Footpath 2, Chippenham as lies between Chippenham Footpath 3 and 250m South East. The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate culvert construction and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 1 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 30 April 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 1 November 2024 and 31 January 2025.

The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
