Chaucer Road (D3246) Ashford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 23 October 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Chaucer Road (D3246) Ashford as extends from its junction with (C241) Stanwell Road to its junction with (D3246) Coleridge Road. Alternative Route – Stanwell Road; Woodthorpe Road; Clarendon Road; and Coleridge Road. The Order is required to allow drainage installation works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Consara Construction Ltd within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over two weeks between the hours of 8am and 5pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 04 November 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for residents within the closure area and the emergency services will be maintained at all times via the use of road plates. All other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

D4006 Nightingale Road, Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024
On 23 October 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D4006 Nightingale Road, Guildford that extends from its junction with A3100 London Road, for a distance of 50m. This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out highway improvements and/or installations, to include :- streetlighting, ducting, road table, footway widening and kerbing/tactile paving and/or surfacing and/or lining and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8pm and 6am, within 2 weeks of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 25 October 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative route :- A3100 London Road, A25 Parkway, A320 Stoke Road and D4006 Nightingale Road. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

D152 Sebastopol Lane and D152
Bannacle Hill Road, Sandhills – Witley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 23 October 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- 1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in:- a) The entire length of D152 Sebastopol Lane, Sandhills – Witley. b) That length of D152 Bannacle Hill Road, Sandhills – Witley that extends from its junction with D151 Church Lane, to its junction with D152 Sebastopol Lane. 2. Revoke “The Surrey County Council D152 Bannacle Hill Road, Sandhills – Witley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024”. This Traffic Order is required to enable BT Openreach to carry out ducting and/or cabling and/or connection and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm within 4 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 29 October 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Alternative route:- Church Lane, Brook Road and Bannacle Hill Road.

D4027 Bellfields Road, Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Waiting Order 2024
On 23 October 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading, and unloading at any time on both sides of that length of D4027 Bellfields Road, Guildford that extends from the northern side of its junction with D4027 Mangles Road, to the northern side of its junction with Parsons Green. This Traffic Order is required to enable Winvic Construction Limited to carry out civil engineering works, to include:- highway improvements and/or realignment of kerbs and/or resurfacing and/or lining works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm within 6 weeks of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 28 October 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary waiting restrictions which are anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Exemptions for any vehicle being used for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes in an emergency, any vehicle being used in connection with the works vehicles, any vehicle when waiting because they are required by law to stop, are obliged to stop in order to prevent an accident or are prevented from proceeding because of circumstances outside the drivers control, and in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a civil enforcement officer, will apply when the temporary waiting restrictions are in force. (N.B. Disabled persons displaying a disabled blue badge will not be exempt from the temporary waiting restriction).

D3064 Kingston Rise, New Haw
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 23 October 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3064 Kingston Rise, New Haw that extends from its junction with D3064 King Georges Drive, to its junction with D3063 The Broadway. This Traffic Order is required to enable Circet UK to carry out excavations and/or ducting and/or cabling and/or building of joint boxes and/or blockage clearing and/or repair and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm, within 3 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 04 November 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Alternative route:- King Georges Drive, Queen Marys Drive, Copthall Road, Amis Avenue and The Broadway.

Bridge Street (D3807) Walton On Thames
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024
On 23 October 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 15(8)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from driving or proceeding in that length of (a) Bridge Street (D3807) Walton On Thames as extends from its junction with (D3806) Mayo Road to its junction with (A3050) Hepworth Way and; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Bridge Street (D3807) Walton On Thames Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (a) of this Notice. Alternative Route : (A3050) Hepworth Way and Bridge Street, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to allow emergency sewer repair works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 22 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, within 11-month period of operation of this Order which commences on 28 October 2024 and continues in force the provisions introduced by “The Surrey County Council D3807 Bridge Street (D3807) Walton On Thames Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Notice 2024” issued under Section 14(2) of the Act on 08 October 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Burnt Common Lane (D960) Ripley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 23 October 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 15(8)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from driving or proceeding in the entire length of Burnt Common Lane (D960) Ripley. This Order is required to allow emergency construction works for, or on behalf of Vistry Thames Valley. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 months, 24 hours per day, within 11-month period of operation of this Order which commences on 27 October 2024 and continues in force the provisions introduced by “The Surrey County Council D960 Burnt Common Lane, Ripley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Notice 2024” issued under Section 14(2) of the Act on 07 October 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. There is no alternative route for this closure.

Guildford Lane (C37), and White Lane (C37), Albury Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 23 October 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to; (a) prohibit all traffic (including pedestrians and cyclists) from entering or proceeding in the entire length of (a) Guildford Lane (C37) Albury; and, (b) White Lane (C37) Albury; and, (c) Suspend “The Surrey County Council White Lane (C37) Albury Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in Part (b) of this Notice. 
Alternative Route : White Lane; Halfpenny Lane; Blacksmith Lane; A248 Dorking Road, and Chilworth Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is to facilitate new water mains connection works for, or on behalf of Road Traffic Solutions. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 25 days, between the hours of 7am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 04 November 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access through the closure while works are in place, and all traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.

Foxburrow Hill Road (D202) Bramley and
Munstead Heath Road (C31) Godalming
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Management Order 2024
On 23 October 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 15(8)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from driving or proceeding in that length of (a) Foxburrow Hill Road (D202) Bramley as extends from its junction with (A281) Horsham Road to its junction with (C31) Munstead Heath Road; and (b) Munstead Heath Road (C31) Godalming from its junction with (D202) Foxburrow Hill Road to its junction with (X94046) Munstead View Road; and (c) prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading and unloading at any time on both sides of that length of Foxburrow Hill Road (D202) Bramley as extends from its junction with (A281) Horsham Road to its junction with (C31) Munstead Heath Road; and (d) prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading and unloading at any time on both sides of that length of Munstead Heath Road (C31) Godalming from its junction with (D202) Foxburrow Hill Road to its junction with (X94046) Mustead View Road. Alternative Route: (A281) Horsham Road, (A248) Broadford Road, (A3100) Old Portsmouth Road, (A3100) Guildford Road, (A3100) Meadrow, (A3100) Bridge Road, (A3100) Flambard Way, (B2130) Brighton Road, and Munstead Heath Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of SGN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 9 weeks, between the hours of 8am and 4.30pm, Saturday and Sunday only, within the 11-month period of operation of this Order which commences on 29 October 2024 and continues in force the provisions introduced by “The Surrey County Council D202 Foxburrow Hill Road and C31 Munstead Heath Road, Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Notice 2024” issued under Section 14(2) of the Act on 30 September 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure and restriction, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. For sub-paragraph (a) and (b) above: Access for residents, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists, and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. For sub-paragraphs (c) and (d) above: Exemptions apply for vehicles when waiting because they are required by law to stop, are obliged to stop in order to prevent an accident or are prevented from proceeding because of circumstances outside the drivers control and in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a civil enforcement officer will apply when the temporary restrictions are in force. (N.B. Disabled persons displaying a disabled blue badge will not be exempt from the temporary waiting restriction).

Jenner Road (D4014) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 23 October 2024 Surrey County Council made above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Jenner Road (D4014) Guildford as extends from its junction with (D4014) Sydenham Road to its junction with (D4014) Harvey Road; and (b) Suspend “The Guildford Traffic Regulation Order 1965”, as amended by The Guildford Traffic Regulation (Amendment) Order 1969 (which substituted item No.28 in the first schedule of 1965), only insofar as it relates to the imposition of a southbound one-way system on Jenner Road which extends between Sydenham Road and Harvey Road. Alternative Route : (A246) Epsom Road, Hunter Road, and Harvey Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate installation of traffic island, road markings and buildout works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible, and will take two weeks to complete, within the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 04 November 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed; and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, as will access for emergency service vehicles in an emergency situation only. Vehicular access for residents and businesses will be maintained only when safe to do so, if necessary, via the diversion route.

Brook Hill (D194) Albury
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Brook Hill (D194) Albury as extends from its junction with “Brook Crossing” and for a distance of 20 metres in a southerly direction along Brook Hill; and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Brook Hill (D194) Albury Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (a) of this Notice. Alternative Route: (1) Brook Hill, Brook Lane, Little London, Park Road, and Brook Hill; (2) Brook Hill, Shophouse Lane, Row Lane, Winterfold Heath Road, Windmill Plain, Hound House Road, Sandy Lane, Shere Heath Road, Park Road, and Brook Hill. This Order is required to facilitate new electrical connection works for, or on behalf of UKPN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 weeks, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 18 November 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Runnemede Road (D3143) Egham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Runnemede Road (D3143) Egham as extends from its junction with (D3143) High Street a point in line with the south-eastern property boundary line of No. 1A Runnemede Road. There is no suitable alternative route. The Order is required to allow mains electrical utility works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of OCU Group and/or Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over three weeks within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 18 November 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times via gatemen on site. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising. 

A246 Epsom Road, Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of A246 Epsom Road, Guildford that extends from the eastern side of its junction with D4014 Hunter Road, to the centre of its junction with A246 Waterden Road. This Traffic Order is required to enable Cappagh Contractors/Thames Water to carry out sewer cover replacement and/or mains repair and/or maintenance works in A246 Epsom Road, at its junction with A246 Waterden Road. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 10am and 3pm, within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 22 November 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, businesses, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Homestall (D4000) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Homestall (D4000) Guildford as extends from its junction with (D4000) Cabell Road to its junction with (D4000) Little Platt. Alternative Route: Cabell Road, Hartshill, Applegarth Avenue, and Little Platt, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate replacement telegraph pole works for, or on behalf of Road Traffic Management Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days, between the hours of 9am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 20 November 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Kitsmead Lane (D3017) Longcross
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Kitsmead Lane (D3017) Longcross as extends from its eastern junction with (B386) Longcross Road and for a distance of 235 metres in a north westerly direction along Kitsmead Lane. Alternative Route: Kitsmead Lane, and (B386) Longcross Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate installation of new gas and electrical connection works for, or on behalf of Fulcrum Infrastructure Services. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 weeks, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 18 November 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Fairmile Park Road (D6853) Cobham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Fairmile Park Road (D6853) Cobham which extends from its junction with Fairmile Park Copse to its junction with Hawksview, and any parts thereof. This Order is required to enable SGN to facilitate gas main replacement works, which is anticipated to be completed within 3 weeks, between 8am and pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 13 November 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.11) 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice; and (b) suspend “The County Council of Surrey (Clay Lane Jacobs Well) (Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles) Order 1986” insofar as it relates to Clay Lane only. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate surface dressing, pre-patching/ patching works and/or major maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 13 November 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure and the suspension of the Order will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.
