NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, have, under its relevant powers, made the following Order: U72003, Witherstone Lane From Knapp Green, Carey, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U72003, Witherstone Lane From Knapp Green, Carey, approximately 500 metres north of Upper Witherstone Barn. Grid Ret 355431/232342.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Witherstone Lane onto Bolstone Lane, onto Green Lane, onto the C1261, onto Broadway Lands, onto the C1267, onto Witherstone Lane and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to landslip remedial works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 7th of November 2024 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 3 weeks.
