Essex - Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Works

What is happening?

(Frinton Road, Holland on Sea/Clacton Road, Great Holland)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Frinton Road, Holland on Sea/ Clacton Road, Great Holland in the District of Tendring, from the junctions with Frinton Road Roundabout to the junction with Little Clacton Road a distance of approximately 2650m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th November 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2356718 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Frinton Road Roundabout, Frinton Road, Holland Road, Valley Road, St Johns Road, North Road, Thorpe Road, Thorpe Road Roundabout, Thorpe Road, Holland Road, Sladburys Lane, Great Holland Common Road, Little Clacton Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 31st October 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Landermere Road, Thorpe-le-Soken)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Landermere Road, Thorpe-le-Soken in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Abbey Street for a distance of approximately 20m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 23rd November 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008OGEA77537463SB - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Landermere Road, Harwich Road, Cross Hill, Beaumont Road, School Road, High Street, Harwich Road, Clacton Road, Harwich Road, Oakley Road, Ramsey Road, Church Hill, Ramsey Roundabout, A120, Clacton Road, Mistley Road, Heath Road, The Green, School Road, The Street, Thorpe Road, Tendring Road, Colchester Road, High Street and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 31st October 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Nansen Road, Holland on Sea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Nansen Road, Holland on Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Chelmsford Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 18th November 2024 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD037SM64393410 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while sewer repair works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

An alternative route is available via Stratford Road, Slade Road and vice versa (with access only into Nansen Road).

The Order will come into effect on 31st October 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Tan Lane, Little Clacton)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Tan Lane, Little Clacton in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Harwich Road to its junction with Holland Road a distance of approximately 1750m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th November 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2352849 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Harwich Road, The Street, London Road, Montana Roundabout, Centenary Way, Centenary Way Roundabout, Thorpe Road Roundabout, Thorpe Road, Holland Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 31st October 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(St Johns Road, Clacton on Sea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of St Johns Road, Clacton on Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junctions with St Johns Roundabout to its junction with Elm Grove a distance of approximately 295m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th November 2024 for 19 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001349099 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.

An alternative route is available via North Road, London Road B1441, St Johns Roundabout

and vice versa (with access only into St Johns Road).

The Order came into effect on 17th October 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
