Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Road Closures due to Works
What is happening?

(Cock Road, Little Maplestead)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Cock Road, Little Maplestead in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 20m west of its junction with Sudbury Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd November 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WFQNW61PPTSB - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole testing and tree cutting works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Cock Road, Sudbury Road, Deans Hall Road, Oak Road, Cock Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 31st October 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Pennypot Corner/Bournebridge Hill, Greenstead Green)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Pennypot Corner/Bournebridge Hill, Greenstead Green in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 125m north east of the junction with Rayne Hatch Lane for a distance of approximately 1425m in a north easterly direction to the junction with Russels Road. The closure is scheduled to commence on 28th October 2024 for 2 nights (20:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2372877 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while drainage investigation works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Pennypot Corner, Halstead Road, Gosfield Road, Braintree Road, The Street, Hedingham Road, Braintree Road, Halstead Road, Halstead Road - A1124, Hedingham Road, Market Hill, High Street, Bridge Street, Trinity Street, Mount Hill, Braintree Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 17th October 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
