Canwood Road, Temporary Road Closure Due To Tree Cutting Works
What is happening?

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, have, under its relevant powers, made the following Order: U67409, Canwood Road, Checkley, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U67409, Canwood Road, Checkley, outside Can Wood. Grid Ref: 361299 / 236526.
The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the C1293 onto the C1295 onto The Nurdens and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to tree cutting and cabling works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 4th of November 2024 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 3 days (0930hrs -1530hrs).
