What is happening?
LONDON BOROUGH OF BARNET
THE BARNET (FREE PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES, WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO.*) ORDER 20**
THE BARNET (CHARGED-FOR PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO.*) ORDER 20**
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49,51 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.
As part of the agreed Barnet Homes/The Barnet Group planning permission for redevelopment works currently taking place on Little Strand NW9, the general effect of the above Orders would be to revoke the existing 'CL2' Colindale permit parking areas on Little Strand NW9 operating between the hours of 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday and to introduce the following measures listed below:
* 44 Nos. 'CL2' Colindale resident permit holders only parking bays operating between the hours of 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday.
* 5 Nos. new disabled permit holders only parking bays operating 'At any time'.
* 11 Nos. shared use electric vehicle charging/'CL2' resident permit holders parking bays operating between the hours of 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday.
* Lengths of No waiting 'At Any time' restriction double yellow lines would be introduced on Little Strand in order to prevent obstruction and to maintain traffic flow.
* Lengths of No loading 'At any time' restrictions would be introduced alongside the existing emergency access gate in the vicinity of Dessouter, Little Strand.
As a result of the measures above being introduced the existing Zone 'CL2' Colindale Permit Parking areas operating between the hours of 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday on Little Strand NW9 will be removed.
Permit eligibility
* In addition to the planning agreement the general effect of Charged-for Order will only allow the following Barnet Homes new build properties currently under construction listed below to be eligible to apply for only one Colindale zone 'CL2' resident parking permit per household.
Little Strand, NW9 - Odd Nos only 1, 3, 5, and 7.
Little Strand, NW9 - Even Nos only 2 to 16.
Great Strand, NW9 - Flats No.1 to 5 Dlagerty Court.
* The general effect of the Charged-for Order would prohibit the following Barnet Homes new build properties listed below from being eligible to apply for Colindale zone 'CL2' resident parking permits or parking vouchers.
Great Strand NW9 - Flats Nos. 6 to 23 Dalgerty Court.
The 'CL2' resident parking permit eligibility for the Little Strand NW9
addresses listed below will remain unchanged:

Nos 1 to 9 Caudron, Little Strand NW9
Nos 1 to 3 Dessouter, Little Strand NW9
No.4 Dessouter, First Floor Room Front, Little Strand NW9
Second Floor Room Rear, Little Strand NW9
First Floor Room Rear, Little Strand NW9
Second Floor Room Front, Little Strand NW9
Nos 5 to 12 Dessouter, Little Strand NW9
Nos.1 to 13 Douglas, Little Strand NW9 Nos.1 to 7 Dyott, Little Strand NW9
Nos.1 to 6 Everett, Little Strand NW9
Nos.1 to 8 Farman, Little Strand NW9
Nos.1 to 18 Firefly, Little Strand NW9
Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be obtained, inclusive for a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published, by emailing parking.consultations@barnet.gov.uk or by writing to the Design Team, Highways Section, 3rd Floor, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London NW9 4EW.

Any person wishing to object to or comment on the proposed Orders should send a written statement explaining their objection/comments, and quoting reference number SCR588, to the Design Team, London Borough of Barnet, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale NW9 4EW, via the Barnet TraffWeb website or via email to parking.consultations@barnet.gov.uk within 21 days of the date of this Notice.
