What is happening?

New Traffic Proposals For The City And County Of Cardiff

Notice is hereby given that The County Council of the City and County of Cardiff in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, Part 6 of the Traffic Management Act 2004 as amended, The Civil Enforcement of Road Traffic Contraventions (General Provisions) (Wales) Regulations 2013 and The Civil Enforce-ment of Bus Lanes and Moving Traffic Contraventions (City and County of Cardiff) Des-ignation Order 2014 and of all other enabling powers intends to impose traffic restric- tions on the lengths of road referred to in the Schedule below. The nature of the restric- tions and the titles of the proposed orders are also described in the said Schedule. Details of the proposals and plans showing the location and extent of the proposed restrictions are available at www.cardiff.gov.uk/trafficorders. In addition you can obtain copies of the same by sending an email request to roadtrafficorderobjec-tions@cardiff.gov.uk or by making a written request to the address below. Any objections and other representations relating to the orders must be submitted in writing on or before 15 November 2024 or by email to roadtrafficorderobjec-tions@cardiff.gov.uk and must contain the grounds on which you object. Correspond-ence may be disclosed as required by the Freedom of Information Act 2000. The Council welcomes correspondence in English and Welsh and we will ensure that we communicate with you in the language of your choice, whether that’s English, Welsh or bilingual as long as you let us know which you prefer. Corresponding in Welsh will not lead to any delay.

Schedule
1. The County Council Of The City And County Of Cardiff (Prohibitions And Restrictions Of Stopping, Waiting, Loading And Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2024 (Amendment No.45) Order 2024 Proposes To : 
i. Introduce Shared Use (Permit Holder/Pay and Display) Parking in the following lengths of road. The general effect of the Pay and Display which will be to prevent any vehicle from waiting between the hours of 08.00. to 22.00. for more than 4 hours (no return within two hours). The cost of parking shown in Table 1, and the cost of permits in Table 2 below.

A. Llanfair Road
a. On its south west side, from a point 10 metres south east of its junction with Pen-Hill Road, for a distance of 20 metres south east

b. On its north east side, from a point 14 metres south east of its junction with Pen-Hill Road, for a distance of 26 metres south east

c. On its north west side, from a point 10 metres north east of its junction with Llandaff Road, for a distance of 21 metres north east

d. On its south east side, from a point 10 metres north east of its junction with Llandaff Road, For a distance of 17 metres north east

B. Beacon Street on both sides from a point 13 metres south west of its junction with Llanfair Road for a distance of 9 metres south west

C. Bloom Street on both sides from a point from a point 16 metres south west of its junction with Llanfair Road, for a distance of 11 metres south west

D. Meadow Street
a. On its north west side, from a point 12 metres south west of its junction with Llanfair Road, for a distance of 13 metres south west

b. On its south east side, from a point 12 metres south west of its junction with Llanfair Road, for a distance of 6 metres south west

E. Llandaff Road on its north east side, from a point 7 metres north west of its junction with Llanfair Road, for a distance of 57 metres south east
ii. Prevent you from leaving your vehicle at any time in: A. Lane to the rear of 118 to 198 Llandaff Road throughout its entire length
B. Llandaff Road on its south west side, from its junction with Pencisely Road to its junction with Romilly Road

C. Llanfair Road
a. On both sides from its junction with Beacon Street, for a distance of 6 metres south east
b. On its south east side, from a point 135 metres north east of its junction with Llandaff Road, for a distance of 14 metres north east
c. On its north west side, from its junction with the lane to the rear of 118 to 198 Llandaff Road, for a distance of 2 metres north east and 1 metre south west

D. Pen-Hill Road on its south east side, from its junction with Conway Road, for a dis-tance of 18 metres south west
E. Beacon Street on both sides, from its junction with Llanfair Road, for a distance of 13 metres south west and both sides, from its junction with the lane to the rear of 118 to 198 Llandaff Road, for a distance of 2 metres north east

F. Bloom Street on its north west side, from its junction with the lane to the rear of 118 to 198 Llandaff Road, for a distance of 2 metres north east and 1 metre north east

G. Meadow Street
a. On both sides, from its junction with Llanfair Road, for a distance of 11 metres south west
b. On both sides, from its junction with the lane to the rear of 118 to 198 Llandaff Road, for a distance of 1 metre north east

H. Romilly Road on its south side, from its junction with Llandaff Road, for a distance of 20 metres west and from a point 7 metres west of its junction with Rectory Road, for a distance of 10 metres west

iii. Prevent leaving or loading and unloading your vehicle between the hours of 07:45 – 09:30 and 16:00 –18:30 in :
A. Llandaff Road on its north east side, from its junction with Pen-hill Road, for a dis-tance of 23 metres south east

B. Llanfair Road on its south west side, from its junction with Pen-hill Road, for a dis-tance of 11 metres south east and on its north east side, for a distance of 14 metres south east

C. Penhill Road on its south east side, from its junction with Llanfair Road, for a distance of 8 metres north east and 7 metres south west and from its junction with Llandaff Road, for 13 metres north east

iv. Establish Residents Parking Zone (for use by any vehicle issued with a valid Zone P Permit) (cost of a permit set out in Table 2 below) in : A. Llanfair Road

a. On its south east side, from a point 34 metres north east of its junction with Llandaff Road, for a distance of 10 metres north east and from a point 49 metres north east, for a distance of 85 metres north east.

b. On its north west side, from a point 57 metres north east of its junction with Llandaff Road, for a distance of 76 metres north east and from a point 38 metres north east, for a distance of 11 metres north east

c. On its north east side, from a point 48 metres south east of its junction with Pen-Hill Road, for a distance of 173 metres south east

d. On its south west side, from a point 36 metres south east of its junction with Pen-Hill Road, for a distance of 17 metres south east

e. On its south west side, from a point 70 metres south east of its junction with Pen-Hill Road, for a distance of 35 metres south east

f. n its south west side, from a point 123 metres south east of its junction with Pen-Hill Road, for a distance of 31 metres south east

g. On its south west side, from a point 173 metres south east of its junction with Pen-Hill Road, for a distance of 36 metres south east

B. Beacon Street
a. On its north west side, from a point 26 metres south west of its junction with Llanfair Road, for a distance of 30 metres south west

b. On its south east side, from a point 27 metres south west of its junction with Llanfair Road, for a distance of 32 metres south west

C. Bloom Street
a. On its north west side, from a point 27 metres south west of its junction with Llanfair Road, for a distance of 39 metres south west

b. On its south east side, from a point 27 metres south west of its junction with Llanfair Road, for a distance of 42 metres south west

D. Meadow Street on both sides, from a point 27 metres south west of its junction with Llanfair Road, for a distance of 50 metres south west

E. Llandaff Road
a. On its north east side, from a point 64 metres north west of its junction with Llanfair Road, for a distance of 127 metres north west

b. On its north east side, from a point 33 metres south east of its junction with Pen-Hill Road, for a distance of 65 metres south east

F. Pen-Hill Road
a. On its south east side, from a point 13 metres east of its junction with Conway Road, for a distance of 17 metres east

b. On its south east side, from a point 51 metres east of its junction with Conway Road, for a distance of 14 metres north east

c. On its south east side, from a point 26 metres south west of its junction with Conway Road, for a distance of 37 metres south west

d. On its south east side, from a point 39 metres north east of its junction with Llanfair Road, for a distance of 18 metres north east

e. On its south east side, from a point 7 metres north east of its junction with Llanfair Road, for a distance of 18 metres north east

v. Establish Residents Only Parking 08:00 – 22:00 in Conway Road (cost of a permit set out in Table 2 below) on its north east side from a point 24 metres south east of its junction with Pen-Hill Road and on its south west side from a point 37 metres south east of its junction with Pen-Hill Road.

vi. Prohibit goods vehicles exceeding 7.5 tonnes maximum gross weight from proceed-ing (except for access) along Llanfair Road

(1 per household, in lieu of a Resident Visitor Permit)
Community Permit £30.00 per annum.
(Limited to two per community premises)

2. The County Council Of The City And County Of Cardiff (Llanfair Road, Cardiff) (Disabled Persons’ Parking Place) Order 2024 (Revocation) ORDER 2024 proposes to remove the Disabled Persons’ Parking Place within the vicini-ty of 30 Llanfair Road
