An order has been made to introduce a 40mph speed restriction on Barnsley Road from Hall Farm Grove to the A628 (northern access), from 1 November 2024 for approximately one week.

TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS
An order has been made to introduce the following restrictions on the below streets, from 28th October 2024 for approximately one week.
Bar Lane, Staincross – Temporary one-way restriction allowing vehicles to travel from Wakefield Road to Eastfield Arms only. An alternative route is a Bar Lane, Blacker Road, Greenside, Wakefield Road.
Wakefield Road, Staincross – Temporary no right turn restriction prohibiting traffic turning right onto Bar Lane. An alternative route is available via Wakefield Road, Wakefield Road/Rotherham Road roundabout, Wakefield Road, Bar Lane.
Reason: Remedial works.

An order has been made to introduce the following:
Burton Road – one-way restriction allowing traffic to travel from Rotherham Road in a westerly direction, from 4 November 2024 for approximately five days, weekdays only. Diversion: Old Mill Lane/Wakefield Road/Carlton Road/Rotherham Road.
Newlyn Drive – the road will be closed for a distance of 20 metres from the junction with Burton Road, from 28 October 2024 for approximately five days, weekdays only.
Sennen Croft – a no right turn restriction for traffic travelling onto Burton Road, from 4 November 2024 for approximately five days, weekdays only. Diversion route: Old Mill Lane/Wakefield Road/Carlton Road/Rotherham Road.
Tennyson Road – the road will be closed for a distance of 20 metres from the junction with Burton Road, from 28 October 2024 for approximately five days, weekdays only. Diversion: Warwick Road/Rotherham Road.

An order has been made to close the below roads, from 28th October 2024 for approximately 7 days.
Tune Street, Wombwell – Temporary road closure from outside No.1 to Copeland Road, between 08:00 and 17:00. An alternative route is available via Copeland Road, Foley Avenue, Wooley Avenue.
Bondfield Crescent, Wombwell – Temporary road closure from Tune Street to Foley Avenue, between 08:00 and 17:00. Access will be maintained when safe.
