What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
& FOOTWAY CLOSURE
CHURCH LANE, CHESTERFIELD
WHEN: 11 November to 28 November 2024.
WHERE: Church Lane, Chesterfield between its
Jct. with Church Way to its Jct. with Packers
Row.
REASON: To facilitate gas main renewal works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Pedestrian diversion
only (no vehicular alternative route) - Packers
Row, Burlington Street, Church Way and vice
versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever
reasonably possible, on the affected length of
road. The road will re-open as soon as the work
is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Derbyshire County Council apologises for any
inconvenience caused while work takes place.

The County Council intends to make an Order
under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by
traffic.
