Main Street Styrrup - Temporary Traffic Regulation
What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(MAIN STREET, STYRRUP)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024 (BS24-264)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Styrrup in the District of Bassetlaw.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road.
a. Main Street, Styrrup – From its junction with Styrrup Lane, to its junction with Pinfold Lane.
2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading (Both Sides) (From 08:30 Hours until 15:30 Hours) in the following length of road.
a. Main Street, Styrrup – From its junction with Styrrup Lane, to its junction with Pinfold Lane.
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 08:30 Hours, Tuesday 12th November 2024
Until 15:30 Hours, Tuesday 19th November 2024
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
a. Main Street - Car Lane - Styrrup Road - Blyth Road - Doncaster Road - Worksop Road - West Gate - Castle Gate - Sunderlane Street - Bawtry Road - Blyth Road - Tickhill Road - Main Street – Styrrup Road - Main Street and Vice-versa
The Order will come into force on Tuesday 12th November 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry out Carriageway Patching Works;
