What is happening?

THE PORTSMOUTH CITY COUNCIL
(TURNER ROAD) (WAITING RESTRICTION) (No.51) ORDER 2024


1. Portsmouth City Council hereby gives Notice that on 25 October 2024 it made the above Order under Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.The Order will come into effect on 28 October 2024. The effect of the Order will be:
a) to introduce "No Waiting at Any Time" restrictions in place of "No Waiting Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm" on Turner Road, north side, between the existing "No Waiting at Any Time" restrictions and the existing disabled bay
b) to introduce "No Waiting at Any Time" restrictions in place of "No Waiting Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm" on Turner Road, south side, between the existing "No Waiting at Any Time" restrictions and the start of the layby outside Ark Dickens Primary School;
c) to extend the existing "No Waiting at Any Time" restrictions on Turner Road, north side from the junction to Watts Road and the existing layby opposite the Buckland Children Centre
2. Copies of the made Order, Statement of Reasons and the plan showing the restrictions are available to view on Portsmouth City Council’s website: Search "Traffic Regulation Orders 2024" at www.portsmouth.gov.uk. Alternatively, they can be viewed at the Civic Offices, Guildhall Square, PO1 2AL, Monday to Friday between 9am - 4pm. Printed copies can be obtained by calling 02392841767
3. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant enabling Act, or that a requirement of any such enabling Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date of the Order, make application for this purpose to the High Court.
