LANGWELL CRESCENT BACK LANE ASHINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD AND FOOTWAY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic and pedestrian traffic on the following sections of roads and footways in Ashington in the County of Northumberland.
Road Closures:-
U6510 Kenilworth Road from its junction with Station Road heading south for a distance of 285 metres.
U6510 Station Road Langwell Crescent Back Lane for its entire length of 180 metres.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the Station Road, Park Road, Ashbourne Crescent and vice-versa.
Footway Closures:-
U6510 Kenilworth Road east side footway from its junction with Station Road heading south for a distance of 285 metres.
U6510 Kenilworth Road west side footway from its junction with Station Road heading south for a distance of 285 metres.
The alternative route for pedestrian traffic will be via Station Road, Park Road, Ashbourne Crescent and vice versa.
The Order is to be effective from the 28th October 2024 until the 28th April 2025.
It is expected that the road and footways will only be closed from the 4th November 2024 until the 8th November 2024 between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 28th April 2025.

The closures have been requested by Northumberland County Council to complete footpath improvement works.
